Looks like we are pretty unanimous on this!

Quote
Produce 2 Oversights and a nice box for one of them.
Equip all our agents with pistols, armour, and a grenade.
Equip all but two agents with carbines, the last two get an oversight and extra grenades.

2 Oversights are produced (-40R) and the squad is kitted out as requested.

None!

It is currently the Dissection/Development phase! I'll be around to price check any new technology if necessary.

The vehicle slams to a stop and the men immediately hope into action.
I expect that this contains a mistyped word, but choose to add it literally to my headcannon.

I would love to investigate this animating force, and congratulations on the oversight idea, it seems to have been needed!

There's two things I'd like to check out this round:

1) Figure out the nature behind this "puppetmaster" controlling the skeletons

2) Look into a way of immobilizing these and other targets with less than obvious weak points.

For the second, I have an idea floating around for how we could go about it. Let me introduce to you...

SLUDG
(Semi-Liquid Uniform De-mobilization Glue)

The idea is that it's a cross between spray-able foam insulation and rubber cement.

(Side note: I am not a chemist so this is probably not accurate at all. I did my best but wikipedia can only teach so much.)
It's a two-step process, featuring one solvent with a special polymer inside stored in one container and another catalyst stored in another. These two are combined in a mixing chamber where the catalyst begins to neutralize the solvent, reducing its solubility. This also produces heat, which in part reduces the strength that the polymer chains have leftover. This mixture is them sprayed out of the nozzle, where the polymer chains cool and as they are no longer held in stasis inside the solvent they reform quickly into long, strong chains that form a thick ooze on whatever the mixture was sprayed on in a matter of seconds. The neutralizing solvent sprayed along with it releases gas bubbles as it undergoes the process, puffing up the goop until it expands and cools into a strong, stretchy foam that can hold a person and possibly something stronger in place where it stands.

The end product is a goop that can be transported in a liquid form and can undergo a chemical reaction on demand that can turn it into a foam that expands and then hardens or at least thickens very quickly as to immobilize whatever it's being fired at. This design hopefully can create a foam that will be strong enough to immobilize something with the strength of an average human, but later versions could up the ante to hold down something bigger like a werecreature or moving vehicle. Having a backup chemical that can dissolve the SLUDG is handy, but not necessarily required so long as the soldiers understand not to point the gun at eachother.

SLUDG: Lets say 100R for level one, then doubling in price each level after that.

Can I get a price-check for:
Analyze the Oversight readings of theskeleton deaths?
Check the integrity and possible marketability(They might be of value as antiques or archaeological finds) of the equipment on the skeletons?
Braaaaaains?
Shotguns with incendiary rounds from the international arms market? Preferably metric...

Unlikely to yield anything of value, but it wouldn't cost anything.

Quote

It would cost one of the equipment (as they would be "lost" when transferring them to antique specialists). Probably possible to get other information out of them at the same time with high success rate.

Quote
Braaaaaains?

A bunch of Zombie heads. Due to all the brains being filled with a large amount of shrapnel and bullets, you are unlikely to get much useful information.

Probably something to do in the design phase.

I want to look at the sword and shield the skeleton had.  Where did they come from, how were they manufactured.  That might point to where the skeletons are coming from.

Is there any chance for us to figure out the "force" moving the skeletons during this phase?

I'd propose a different technology than the sludge:

ABC Scrambler:
Aural, Biological, Chemical scrambler---these things wreck hearing, balance, vision, and even your sense of smell through a combination of a flashbang's extreme bright flash and deafening noise and an assortment of fun chemical irritants that do not hang in the air. They are specifically designed to incapacitate anything human or monstrous. We presume that the skeletons will likely be unaffected (Bright flashes, loud noises, and chemical irritants don't do much when you don't actually have eyes, ears, or a nervous system), but there's always the "Hit in head with moderately heavy thrown object" approach, I guess.

-----This technology will be a nice stepping stone to incapacitating grenades or even some sort of ammunition that scrambles targets' nervous systems and such. If your frags don't kill all your enemies, and the Oversight says something's behind that door, toss TWO frags, then toss in one of these things. Guaranteed to make the job easier. And less dangerous.

Can we attempt to improve our understanding of what parts of the oversight detected things and attempt to understand how to improve our ability to percieve this stuff?
Spectral Sensors

I am beginning to think that we may want to hold off on selling our loot until we can set up some obfuscation. It may be worth a design to set up some contacts to price-check our loot and look into its background without being easily traced...
Obfuscated public contact
Market prices
Historical analysis
Occult research

I would like to consider some sort of dedicated shield agents to block dragon-fire or terracotta javelins, and possibly lugging around turrets, like a minugun position or something. It'd be nice if our agents were ludicrously strong, even if it meant them also being ludicrously slow.
Powered lifting costumes.

What, do you want to bottle up those skeleton animating spirits, subvert them to our purposes, and have disposable, fashionably-clad 10th century armored knights backing us up as muscle?

Actually, next turn we should have more stuff to dissect with regards to the animating spirits, so next turn we could dissect a skeleton to figure out what exactly that spirit is.

That said, this turn I REALLY want to go for the incapacitation munitions. Frags don't usually kill zombies, it seems, so the ABC grenades ought to be a very valuable thing to have.

There is a very low chance of finding anything on the force with the resources you have, someone suggested looking at the Oversight readings.

And less dangerous.

Probably something you could already make in design phase without the need for special technology. Technology to boost its effects would probably be 50R per level.

Spectral Sensors-50R per level

Obfuscated public contact
Market prices
Historical analysis
^Can probably be combined to one 100R research, in addition to things like forming grey market transactions.

Occult research-Need more of a description to work with.

Powered lifting costumes-300R, probably somewhat difficult.

The above price checks are easy unless noted.

How much science fiction can enter into this game?
