The ride went smoothly, and you quickly joined up with the second legion. You grabbed a very girthy wooden spear from the rack. Why you called it that, was a funny tale. Apparently, the first person to teach you had called it that, and it stuck. Though, most normal people just referred to it as a lance. Whilst you were good with the scimitar in one-on-one combat, you preferred the lance, or xyston as it was called by your people, in large melees. Of course, you could only use it so much before it broke or became useless, so you still took a wooden scimitar too. Not all areas of the battlefield were ideal for cavalry, let alone cavalry carrying a 12-foot spear. Therefore where you requested to be stationed mattered a lot. Of course, you wouldn't actually charge in this exercise, as you did not intend to hurt your father's soldiers. As you went to drop off Andreichos at the commander's tent uphill, overlooking the battlefield, you passed a fortune teller. She was quite infamous, as the people said all her predictions came true. The Slum Oracle, they called her. Parankoupólea was her name, if you recalled correctly. She looked at you, and offered you her wrinkled hand. She did not often offer to predict one's future, so this was quite an honour.
