Who all is in favor of changing the name of the ship from quiver to wooden swords?  does anyone else want the ship to be a meme?

The United Forenian Navy Landing Craft Vehicle "Wooden Sword" is modified legacy AS-CV22, refitted with modern engines which instead of powering screws, power four big paddle-treads that run along the sides of the vessel, two on each side, and provide propulsion both in water and allow the vehicle to crawl onto sea.

The front of the ship has an armoured landing ramp complete with rubber seals. The cargo space is repurposed to allow combat-ready armour troops and other equipment to assault enemy position through the ramp. The ship still does require relatively shallow draft, but thanks to the treads, it's not as much of a problem, as it just has to not extend past them. The paddles also provide relatively steady anchoring once in place.

For defense it should use 20mm Velociraptors with gun shields on or around the conning tower, which itself also should have some light armour.

Stop voting for the silly thing, that is not even revision tier. A proposal to make a LST (Landing ship-tank) is being made, much simpler, with historical precedence and still effective.

Forenia United - Beach Deployment by Surface Marine - 1942 "Giant Finger"

A Hollowed-out Vodka with platforms and ramps for holding vehicles and moving them to the front of the vessel. It is supported by a pair of crude single-use rockets welded and bolted to either side, with a side-mounted covered bumblebee turret in front of each. Water-scoops lift the vessel as it attains high speed and a shovel is installed at the front to get onto the ground and stay there when beaching. Explosive charges burst open the front of the vessel which then drops a ramp to the ground for the disgorging of ground forces.

What better use for the victoria design could there be but something that runs aground and explodes and is then promptly abandoned or scrapped?

Given that we are likely only ever going to need to land an invasion force at one place at a time, a national effort might be a good investment. I don't really want to weld 6 Vodka together side-by-side and use it as a landing craft, but it would likely be nearly impossible to resist the landing if it reaches the beaches.

I would like to get aircraft radar, and do not believe that we are there yet. What happens if we continue to shrink our radar without removing complex?

We could also try to modify the keel to make the draft shallower in case the weight shift isin't enough. The front of the ship has an lightly armoured landing ramp complete with rubber seals. The cargo space is repurposed to allow combat-ready armoured vehicles, troops and other equipment to assault enemy position through the ramp. All unneccesary equipment, including the defense guns should be removed, but we should keep few cranes in case we could fit equipment not used in the first wave such as AA guns and artillery such as Sarukh launchers or mortars on the weather deck, which could also theoretically be accessible during the landing, so we could provide support with those weapons.

Ngl, the engine refit and balance modification, along with the conning tower armoring, sounds pretty heavy.

I also have concerns with each ship holding lots of troops and equipment; the ship would likely take up larger portions of the beachhead than a smaller ship like the Quiver, and losing a single ship would represent a larger fraction of our landing force being knocked out.

If we're in favor of simplicity, the Quiver does the bare essentials - landing doors, flat keel, gutted interior.
