Wait.  Why use heat when kinetic energy is much more effective on squishy things?

Punch the Daleks in the brain.  With magic.  Except instead of punching, rip and tear.

Wait, nanites?  Fry.

"Unit Resalth, reinforce existing cover. It is deteriorating. Insufficient reserves to manually do such."

Having gotten to cover...

"Well, this is a nasty situation."

No begins gathering power in his eyes for a spell.

"I have just the thing."

"Y'know, It'd probably be faster not to append 'Unit' to everyone."

Resalth draws his hands apart, and symbols stream between his fingers. Suddenly, there's a rectangular metal wall set amidst the remains of the boulder.

"It won't last. We should move."

"You know it would be faster if you were part of the Groupmind and I could think designations, concepts, and orders at you. You'd comprehend things faster too and would be capable of sharing skills with those better suited and trained."

"Relocate where?"

You're not a practiced telekinetic, but a random burst of kinetic energy shouldn't be too hard to manage. Whether it mooshes it against the walls of its container or pushes its insides outwards, it ought to do the trick right?

But how? You've got the spell going already, and heat is just kinetic energy on a small scale in random directions right? You try getting it all to apply in the same direction...

"COMPROMISED! DESTRUCT! DESTRUCT!"

That hint of a song you heard, it's growing louder.

"You know it would be faster if you were part of the Groupmind and I could think designations, concepts, and orders at you. You'd comprehend things faster too and would be capable of sharing skills with those better suited and trained."

"Relocate where?"

Both Resalth and the Traveler begin to respond, but something pricks you sense an immediate hazard and your processing speeds up. The enemy unit has begun a divebomb maneuver and it's energy readings are spiking. All available evidence suggests a kamikaze attack. You have just a split-second to react.

Noticing the incoming Dalek... No realizes what was about to happen. Assuming he can see it, anyway. Luckily he had handled the power gathering earlier.

"INVERT!"

No attempts to curse the Dalek thus that instead of the intended destruction caused by the explosion, the explosion heals what it hits instead.

((Unless he can't see it or sense it, in which case, ignore.))

"All power to forward shielding!" Titus attempts to intercept the enemy unit and tries to redirect it away from the rest of the group, if he can't he just tries to keep it in place, away from the group.

Relocating Incendiary.

Barring other things occurring. Koi prepares to Shunt the space where the soon to be exploding mechanoid is about oh lets say. Half a light second to the right.

"Oh SON OF A

*KRAKOOOM*

-TCH!"

The Traveler looks around, confused. "Okay..."

"Well done. Well done."
Resalth is nodding like a craftsman admiring another's work.

Regaining consciousness... sensory faculties rebooting... requesting memorecord of lost time.

Titus finds himself holding... something. It's squishy and wriggling.

Titus looks down at his hands. "What just happened?"

The Traveler pulls out a gizmo from his pocket and stares intently at some blinking lights for a second. "Iunno"

The thing in Titus' hand squirms. It looks like a big brain, or perhaps a lump of wrinkly skin, with several tentacles extending from its undersides and wrapping and unwrapping around Titus' forearms. There is a single eye set into its body that stares fixedly at his face.

Transfer memories to Espada. Scan area for atypicalities.

Espada's diagnostics report disappearance of major damage, though they'll need some time to readjust the balance of internal operations and some food to fully repair biomass.

The nanites appear to still be present, however, and still streaming from the remaining wreck. They are especially concentrated around the thing in Titus' hands

"Inversion curse. What would harm, instead heals."

No has a smug smirk on his face.
"Oh. Niiiice!"
