"Hey, I found something." Titus walks up to the rest of the group and shows them the thing in his hands. "Anyone know what it is?"

"Holding the..." Titus shakes it off his hand. "So this was inside that thing?"

"Unit No. Major quantity of Replicator Nanoswarm in AO. Purge."
"Ah. Give me a moment, then."

No begins building up power for another spell.

"Hmm. Looks like it might've been some kind of cybernetic construct. If the mechanical casing was turned into a bomb, then perhaps the healing explosion left the organic nervous system behind. Or perhaps the shell was a personal vehicle of sorts for whatever that is." He peers at it closer, though stays plenty distant. It seems almost like it's trying to reach Titus' face. "Are you still trying to kill us, lil guy? Can you speak without your shell?"

Espada tries pinging the thing. In response, there is a brief flood of pure, xenocidal hatred from the thing before its thoughtpatterns resolve into a clear communication.

Titus laughs at the tiny creatures efforts before he pulls out one of his handguns and pushes the barrel against its eye. "If anyone can speak to it, tell it to stop moving."

The creature wraps its tentacles around the gun.

"Depends on whether or not you want the deactivation to be temporary or permanent. I'm assuming permanent. Just need to feed another essence or two into the spell..."

The Traveler reaches into his duffel and pulls out a jar. "Hmm, need a bigger one." He puts it back and pulls out, indeed, a bigger jar, which seems to be plastic and bears a rather weathered label of "Skippy's Peanut Butter - Party Size." "Might have something to seal it better, too. An octopus can open jars from the inside after all."
