This trend is getting to be quite Maddening.

At the very least, if things went as they did with Obama and he was stonewalled in Congress, his foreign policy would likely turn out better. One of Obama's weak points, certainly, was foreign policy. McCain was a hawk, sure, but we now have the benefit of hindsight; and some of his positions (retaining troops in Iraq instead of withdrawing, as Obama did) would've likely resolved issues that we deal with now (ISIS).

Possibly, but we also wouldn't have the healthcare reform (even as the pitiable thing that it is, it's still a step in the right direction), nor would we have his cultural contributions via the "Thanks, Obama" meme.
