I think we just need to wait for politics to stabilize.

Right now both the left and right have been excited to extreme levels of tension and hate.

Why do you think letting things alone will lead to stabilization?

Because people get tired and slowly realize how stupid they are being?

Yeah by "let it alone" I mean "don't spark another violent riot resulting in injury, death, and further radicalization" and "don't blow anyone up, please". Outside of those parameters, please go ham.

Doesn't help that Trump appears to be incapable of actually calming things down and trying to heal the nation for more than a day or two, and has yet to prove that he can calm things down amid a longer/larger crisis.

Yes but at the same time it doesn't help that the Trump Hate (HOWEVER JUSTIFIED!) is so intense that there is a huge business in echoing and amplifying it.

"Hello, and welcome to the news. This top story? Trump said something stupid, we have a thirty minute expose on just how stupid it was at six"

So we have Trump but we also have a catalyst.

Not defending Trump, just saying that his inability isn't doing it on its own. THEN AGAIN creating controversy to bait the news into amplifying his message was something he did on purpose... it just isn't beneficial to him now.

Pretty far; his parents are from Italy.

So one generation? That's the opposite of far!

What? Italy isn't located in Latin America.

Unintentional racism. Hah!

"He's from one of those Latin American countries....you know, Italy!"

At least the first half is technically correct.

Well, if the birthplace of the Roman Empire is not Latin enough for you...

It is Latin. But it's not Latino.
'Latino' refers specifically to Latin Americans.

Well actually it is Latino, it's just that when Americans say Latino, it's shorthand for latinoamericano, which means "latin american."

Latino refers specifically to Latin American ethnicity. Latin can be used for either the dead language or in reference to Latin American ethnicity. Ancient Rome was considered a melting pot, and had no distinct ethnicity. Italian is in fact considered an ethnicity.

Since Darth Arizona is a famous repository of hate for LATINOS but does have recorded ITALIAN ethnicity, we can assume that we were referring to LATIN AMERICAN ethnicity when we mock his ancestry.

Joyless Grinch mode out.
