They could still fall further though, they haven't hit Nixon's lowest point yet.
Though all indications are that he isn't going to give a damn about negative approval polls since they're all 'fake news'.
Pretty sure he cares. He's just surrounded by a lot of flatterers. It's a bit like saying he doesn't care about SNL when all signs point to him really caring about SNL. Anyway, We hit bush's lowest point, and it took Bush43 a lot of well, issues before he hit this low point. Including Hurricane Katrina and the Iraq War. I mean, it will likely drop even further, but we're at the point where a major scandal is as expected.
He kind of had pre-scandals before he was elected. The whole Russian thing is still brewing and has potential to erupt in a major scandal, depending on what actually happened during the campaign.
Didn't help that he alienated a massive chunk of the general election consistuency (of which a significantly large chunk still hated Trump, but hated Clinton more).
There is the fact that he has been acting like an amateur, but that's because he IS an amateur, and is going through a lot of growing pains, so to speak. Yes, it tends to make us laughingstocks, but that's what people voted for am I rite?
The resigning of Flynn could actually stabilize things though.
