Consider diving into the water and leaving via the waterfall, as those meatbags aren't sending the lift back down.

Observe the creature from a distance (while trying to remain unnoticed). Can I deduce it's power (aka transcend level, mind points and attack)? If I were to dive up to lvl. 2, would it still notice me and be able to attack me, or would that make me invisible to it (and it invisible to me)?

Either way, sneak back into my body and go lower the diving bell so people can load it up with whatever.

Find some crystal hives (yunno, the deep balls from our last stop) and consider nonlethal methods of reducing them to powder. Could a Deep ascetic do it? What about a machine that ground them to dust in a soundproofed container?

Seeing that Engi had more luck than he did, Doug shrugged.  "Eh.  I'll leave ya to it.  Thanks, buddy!"

With that, Doug went up to the cannon room and familiarized himself with the aiming controls, practicing aiming at any visible targets.
Well the controls to aim are the same as the controls to move the bore, since the cannons are fixed in place and you aim them by angling the bore. The cannons themselves are easy, you just stick a shell in the back and fire it when the aiming person tells you to. Though its a bit harder thanks to the fact that the bore is now sitting on its side.

"How did you think that was a good idea?"

Help Rede not die. Find out if we can contact the Bore and tell them to lower the diving bell.

Jakie struggles to pull himself out of the worms, grabbing at the worm flesh and trying to drag herself up. But the worms wrap themselves around her arms and drag her further down,  pinning her in place. Vokun tries to yank her out but to no avail.

Your metal body would probably survive the journey to the bottom, but going out through a raging waterfall and tumbling down river...well you've done that before haven't you?

It rolls against a 90.
Leaving this level when it hasn't noticed you will be the same as escaping it, but if you just go back down right after, it will still be there.
You lower the diving bell down for the people below.

I was so tempted to roll for this. Just so you could fail. But we'll assume you just go nappy.

Hmm, those are a bit of a thing. The material is very very robust, so the best way would probably be level 4 manipulation of it to reshape the material without destroying it. The alternative would be to use some heavy industrial equipment and workers with good resistance so they don't go crazy from the sparks trying to infiltrate their physical body.

Now that my body is my own again, let's try making that soldier suit again.

This orb is pretty clearly an egg. Probably a worm egg, all things considered.

You swim over to the largest tower. This one is much bigger around than the others and unlike the others, it has a big stone door rather than an open doorway.

Looks important.

Doug wandered back over to Engi and picked up the armor.  "Looks good.  Thanks buddy!  Let me know if you need anything, cool?"

Suit up.  See how it fits.  Maybe whack self with a wrench to test it out?

Also help Engi

Huh, the previous lvl.3 monster rolled against 80. This one's much more powerful. Good to know there's quite a range.

Go put those things I collected (that're now in a corner of the hangar) in a box in my room. Can't leave this place untidy, after all.

Then either help with people trying to ferry things up by working the bell or unloading things from it, or if not applicable go check out how our bore's engineheart brain is doing in the control room. Inspect the damage done when the moleman-spawned monster crashed through.

You know what? Suit up into a diving suit and go down (by bell, or by rope if it still doesn't require a roll) and go help Rede not become wormchow. Pull him out!

Verne shouts down from the Bore to the bell.

"If that's the last we see of the civilised structures, are we done here? Or does someone want to try crawling from one end of a worm to the other?"

If possible, Verne then goes down to the worm-mass, collects several Fragments of a Deep-Sea Creature, then goes back up to the Bore.
He wonders whether or not the fragments could be safely ground into powder.

"Yes. Bring me materials. Anything you find. I can figure good uses for them. In fact, let me find them. Keep me safe, I make you things, huh?" Engi says, in a sort of disjointed fashion.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Is the bell up? Send it down. Is it down? Leave it be. Catalogue the ship's wealth (or dearth) of materials.

Inspect the door for traps and dangers. If nothing found, inspect it again, because I just know this bastard wants to blow up in my goddamn face.

If after two thorough searches nothing bad is found, attempt to open the door somehow.
