Enslaving a few important villagers, then taking over the village, as that you may eat, enslave, or corrupt at your leisure.
+1. Target the mayor, the witch, and the richest villager. Maybe a couple others.
+1
but instead of targeting the dead witch let us target anyone with potential for magic or who dabbles in it.

Once we have fully corrupted the village, we can pick of any travellers with impunity - and, since the village is under our control, blame it on bandits. Fully indoctrinated, the populace won't "spill the beans" about their demonic faith either, and be deceitful alongside of our plans and schemes. We can even welcome any soldiers the local kingdom might or might not send, pick out the "worthy", strong ones to secretly imprison and slowly but eventually corrupt - and feed of the unworthy ones. As long as their commander sends a "clean" messenger with messages that fit the bandit theme, we won't be easily suspected either.

As soon as we have fully established ourselves, we can get to all the fun stuff, be it demonic beasts, corrupted servants, covens of dark mages, and similiar designs. Not, like we are lacking in ideas on here. For now though, while a bit boring, I'd say we play it "safe". Well, not like the GM is likely to give us "easy mode reign" either - I'd expect some pitfalls alongside the way, to keep things interesting. Either way, it'll be fun, surely.

Eh, it's just a village and we've got a good foothold on it, it's a worthwhile investment.

Fully corrupt the entire village

Democracy in action!

Over the course of the next few weeks you introduce ever more heretical concepts to your sermons. First, you speak of the darker natures of the gods; speaking of how Slask is the god of murder as well as the god of the forest, and how Dorael, though often considered benevolent, is also the god of destruction and earthquakes. The next week you remind them of the impiety of many priests, such as they themselves have experienced, and the greedy and power-hungry nature of the temples. Following this you mention that if the gods are not worthy of their faith, then they must look elsewhere for, ah, 'salvation'.
At times, the congregation seems somewhat shaken, and you must expend a modicum of mental energy to keep them in check. But finally, after four weeks of constant corruption,

Cold braziers give off clouds of black smoke, obscuring the interior of the shrine and causing villagers to choke and cough. Strange shapes seem to appear and disappear in the haze, whilst your voice is given a strange reverberance by the thick fumes. Other than the barely-glowing braziers, only the light of the red moon illuminates the dark interior of the now unrecognizable shrine, giving an eerie sheen to the now twisted and mutilated symbols of the gods.
You stand behind your podium and welcome the villagers to this dark gathering, a satisfied grin on your face. "TONIGHT", you say, "WE REJECT THE FALSE GODS".
"Tonight", the villagers say, "We reject the false gods"
"TONIGHT", you continue, "WE WELCOME A NEW POWER INTO OUR LIVES"
"Tonight", the villagers repeat, "We welcome a new power into our lives"
"TONIGHT", you conclude, "WE PRAISE THE DARK NAME OF OUR DEMONIC MASTER"
"Tonight", the villagers obediently drone, "We praise the dark name of our demonic master"
"PRAISE BE TO NOKLUVGN"
"Praise be to Nokluvgn"
Your name echoes ominously through the shrine, and you feel a rush of power. The feeling of a hundred villagers openly worshipping you is too much to contain, and a malevolent pleasure escapes you, washing over the shrine, through the village, and out into the fields and forests. Wolves break out into concerned howls, plants shrivel and die, and the very stones shudder as the evil energy passes through them. In nearby villages, priests and witches alike awake with a start, but know not why, each suspecting the other of performing some foul ritual. Dark forces, long dormant, begin to slowly stir in the depths, whilst another slumbers on undisturbed.

You manage to regain your composure, returning your attention to your enraptured flock. Their minds are not fully yours; some still have their doubts. Yet if they worship you, does it really matter? Your next course of action is clear:
-Have your worshippers sacrifice the doubters to you
-Send worshippers as emissaries of your budding cult into nearby villages, to spread the word
-Have your worshippers arm themselves, and prepare to conquer the surrounding villages
-Something else

If you've read Demonhood, you know the drill. Now that you have worshippers, you should organize them into a cult. (probably)
And in doing so, you must define it:
Name: ('The Cult of Nokluvgn' or something else)
Level of Organisation: (None: You are the absolute ruler of the cult. No one has any authority but you. Highest: A complex hierarchy. It runs itself, and there are so many intermediaries between you and the bottom that the lowest orders are not even your followers, but hired employees; janitors, mercenaries, etc)
Looks: (What do the cultists wear? What do the temples look like? What sort of symbols do they use?)
Practices: (How do the cultists meet? What do they do at their meetings? What do they do in general?)

(Note that you can change details about the cult later. Be warned, however, that once the cult grows large and complex enough, it may be harder to change things.)

Name: Nokluvgn
Age: 2 months
Physical might: 19 (+10: first worship)
Mental might: 17 (-2: keeping villagers sedated)(+10: first worship)
Followers: ~100 (100 villagers, though not all as faithful)
Slaves: 1 - One mind-broken priest.
Servants: 1 - One brutewolf.

Cults:
[Village cult]: ? ? ? organization. 100 members in Fellshore.
    Power level: 15
    Resources: 0

Name: The New Way, something that sounds pleasant, might attract newcomers to join the cult, nothing sinister about it at all.

Level of Organisation: Good as it is for now

Looks: The cultists are to dress in plain burlap robes, look like simple pious missionaries in public. In secret, when performing rituals or illicit activities, they are to wear leather masks ( more on that in a second ) with facsimiles of ram horns, a pale but flattering imitation of our demon's visage.

Practices: As a general practice, our cultists are to flay themselves discreetly, around their torso areas so their injuries aren't readily visible. This self-mutilation is their form of prayer, and the leather gained from their own bodies shall be used to make their masks. The corporal mortification opens themselves up further to our demonic influence, and keeps them from any sort of sane, reasonable thought in regards to turning away from us.

Action: have the doubters sacrificed directly and immediately, use the power gained from said sacrifice to solidify our hold over our first cultists' minds completely.

-Something else:
Order your followers to build a proper temple to worship you. It should be a twisted maze with an altar room in the centre. Then sacrifice doubters and use all energy gained from it to upgrade the temple using demonic magic

+1, this seems like a solid plan.

This would be great, but it's too conspicuous, and until we've converted a dozen villages, and/or gained 1,000 followers, I think we won't have enough support and power to make something truly worthwhile. We're better off dominating the minds of the villagers, and making some more monstrous servants.

Here's my plan, we'll implement NRDL's plan for the cult organization. Then we'll sacrifice the doubters, and use the power we gain to completely dominate the minds of our new followers.

After the sacrifice and mental dominance, we should hold a week-long celebration of our power, to maximize the benefit we get from our First Worship. During the celebration, we should find a the most attractive, fertile woman in the village and copulate with her, if I'm not mistaken, this should lead to her becoming pregnant with a Half-Demon.

The act of reproduction would increase the power we get, and in two or three years we're guaranteed to have an extremely powerful, loyal follower, in exchange for nothing but a long wait. Maybe we could make this a tradition for each town and village we conquer, and in a decade, we'll have a veritable army of Demonspawn

We should "bless" the three most capable, faithful, charismatic, and intelligent villagers to have double the human average of physical might and mental might, as well as granting them a decent amount of eldritch illusion and mind-bending magic. These villagers villagers shall be called Sacred Wordbearers.

When the week of celebration is over, we'll send them out to subtly convert the gullible and faithless mortals in the nearest towns and villages, leading them back to Fellshore where we can dominate them mentally.

Maze-like temple is relatively easy to expand later. Having a small one now will give us room for summoning various beasts, steady base of operations and bonus to sacrafices from having a proper altar.

Name: The Order of the Corrupter
Level of Organisation: Someone else can come up with this
Looks: Members are required to cut off the ring finger if their left hand. This finger is then preserved and worn as a necklace. They will wear whatever they wish, as long as the necklace is worn so it may be seen.

Our temples will be the temples of towns we have corrupted and gods we have killed. If a town has no temple or church to corrupt, they must build one.

Practices: At the meetings, they will, of course, start by holding a worship service of some sort. They will be encouraged to write hylms about us.

Hmm, I suppose you're right, I just think our power would be better spent recruiting followers than building an altar. If we doubled our followers and spread our influence into the neighboring villages, we'd gain more income than we would from the altar's bonus. As soon as we've got a large base of followers, I'll support the construction of an altar. For now, I feel that it's not the best way to spend our power. But, if we've got a steady amount of recruits coming in, there's no reason not to build the temple.

If we have enough power after making  The Sacred Wordbearers we should a small maze-like temple according to Ukrainian Ranger's specifications. If possible, it should be made of void-black marble with shifting demonic ruins carved into its surface, its layout should shift constantly, its interior should be filled with eldritch smoke, nightmarish illusions, and elusive prodding fingers. Only devout followers of Nokluvgn should be able to traverse it without becoming lost.

If we have enough power left after consuming the doubter's would, we should turn their bodies into slave husks.

Why not build a small altar underneath the temple. They could paint maze like lines  on the floor. A moch shrine, we will replace this one later on with a proper temple. Having a small powerroom though is especially useful when surprise attacks or such happen to us...

Actually yeah this sounds good.

Why not have the village as it is seem rather ordinary and not visibly corrupted by our presence to go with the theme of the New Way proposal and building our evil maze-temple underneath the place? It'll fit with the whole 'insidious evil' thing we have going.

You should really look to the wilderness for your stealth ideas, it has been doing it much longer than you have after all. Take squids for example, that ink trick works pretty well, and in water too! So you just sneak into the dam upsteam, dump several megatons of distressed squid into it, then break the dam. Boom, you suddenly have enough water-proof stealth for a whole city!
