A better joke might have been a range of cheeses. =P
Last time a gnome tried to rank the morality of cheeses there was a civil war.

Not morality, "Holiness". Geddit? =P

And that dear children, is how the third world war started. How it ends? We'll never know, as they still fight out there, up above our heads outside the safety of the bunker, cheese has long since been impossible to make, but still they fight, fighting forever.

Btw, how would you guys feel if I went for an averaged result of all the team when I did initiative rolls, instead of rolling for everyone individually?

I'm not a fan of those weird half turns where the init losers have to wait around and do nothing.

Sounds good to me. The initiative wheel works better in live combat.

Yeah, that sounds good. The normal initiative system works better in real time.

Also, so, is that 3 turns - so, like, I could become ethereal for 1 turn and then stop? Say, the time it takes to walk through a wall and thereby impress a young halfling female?

And then do it twice more that day?

Can't say I'm a fan of the idea.

It does mean that increasing your init just gives the party +0.167, which isn't much of a boost, really.

Isn't it only really a half turn for the first turn?

(Fast players) 1
(Enemies) 1
(Slow players) 1

Can then be seen as
(Enemies) 1
(Slow players) 1
(Fast players) 2
So besides that starting half turn, it's effectively all the players in one turn, and it maintains a benefit for players with high init.

Also I keep meaning to re-read the rules so I can see what actual things beyond ineffectual shooting and shouting my character can do.

But they don't work on my antiquated phone.

I'm sorta with Gigla here, it feels more like people with high initiative getting a bonus action rather then people with low initiative loosing an action, at least, to me. But I don't feel particularly strongly one way or the other.

OK, so that's two for and two against...

Also, tinypic just crashed my fecking computer, so the enemy turns are going to be very abridged. Thankfully I don't have to rewrite the whole turn.

Much like Cript, I don't feel strongly one way or the other either. Like Gigla pointed out, it's not that much of a problem. That is, unless you insert enemies with different initiatives, but then that'd mess everything, average init for players or not.

Do you have the Lazarus add-on, by the way? I've never lost a post ever since I've started using it.

I save most of my work on obsidian portal...

Anyway, turn up.

Battle is nearly to it's penultimate stage...
