Now what do we do?

Well, I think the three of us on station will try to find the item, using as much violence as Khate is allowed to get away with. Kesari will hopefully monitor any approaching ships, and possibly advertise them into submission, and we will hopefully get back to the ship without mishap and Boris will have calculated a jump we can do immediately to get the hell out of there.

BUT - I doubt the "without" mishap bit will come true.

Which would be unfortunate because as you say everyone is indeed wonderful.

That does sound very reasonable, but Draignean suggested we'd earn so little we wouldn't be able to eat.

And now Khate has covered our only contact in paralysis rainbows, so, there you go.

:)

Until the GM processes the turn, you can change your action and toss out all the hard work he did.

I can't remember if the target item was a heavy piece of metal or not?

But... toiletries for the panther?

I'd rather not have to search his ship too!

The exile's star looks a great deal like a malformed lump of molten metal, about a foot long and three inches in diameter at the widest bulge.

It is unnaturally heavy, being made from slagged borewire.

I read that as 'heavy metal', in which it's technically correct :P But 'heavy piece' isn't really right pertaining to weight (if at 1 G) because the Cane asking for it was...well, it's not really that heavy.

The buyer hasn't docked yet though o_O the buyer ship is still in space.

Say, how far is the buyer from ANY dock, Draig?

1-3 minutes from being able to dock at the flounder.

PS. There's probably more than a few heavy metals in the borewire alloy.

PPS. Please don't make me figure out the actual composition of borewire.

Curse you, my good sir, curse you...

IMPORTANT EDIT FOR TIRUIN:
Are you talking to the buyer's ship?

So, comrades... shall we search the room or the ship? We don't have long.

i say we hit the ship and then swing back to the room (and assume Scarlet says this too if I'm not around for discussion) if we don't find it there. THey didn't see the thing - granted, that doesn't necessarily mean he didn't bring it, but it decreases the likelihood - so we're probably best off going to the source. Hell, we might even be able to hijack his ship; it's not stealing if it's from a galatically wanted criminal :V

@_@
The buyer's ship is an AL-Loy ship?! :-[
Because I'm sure that when you mentioned the 'Buyer ship in system' it was a civilian merchant-ish vessel.

What? No! It's the civilian ship, it's just that your action involved the buyers ship and then your action just said 'the ship' and so I wasn't sure if I should use the pronoun from the local context or from the thematic context. Since there was ambiguity, I wanted to ask.

So, to be perfectly clear, you're talking at the AL-Loy ship that sent you the reprimand?

It's a question of shallow vs. deep binding. Which makes no sense unless you study programming languages.

Within reason of Kesari anyway :P I don't know programming languages so I was thinking the usual 'polite thank you and farewell' that people usually do when the local law enforcement gets concerned.

Probably this. And again, it's probably really, really well-suited to warding off intruders, but unless he swallowed the damn thing it pretty much has to be where he's keeping it.

Not that I'd rule out swallowing it entirely, but if he could do that he'd probably routinely keep explosives in there.

We have a plan for assaulting the ship? I'm kind of regretting not bringing our engineer, sciencey person, or most experienced AI wrangler.
