i say we hit the ship and then swing back to the room (and assume Scarlet says this too if I'm not around for discussion) if we don't find it there. THey didn't see the thing - granted, that doesn't necessarily mean he didn't bring it, but it decreases the likelihood - so we're probably best off going to the source. Hell, we might even be able to hijack his ship; it's not stealing if it's from a galatically wanted criminal :V
Probably this. And again, it's probably really, really well-suited to warding off intruders, but unless he swallowed the damn thing it pretty much has to be where he's keeping it.

Not that I'd rule out swallowing it entirely, but if he could do that he'd probably routinely keep explosives in there.

We have a plan for assaulting the ship? I'm kind of regretting not bringing our engineer, sciencey person, or most experienced AI wrangler.

He could have made the panther swallow it?

edit: I don't like it either. Specially not with the evil DM warning.

Eh, less a warning and more an obligatory psyche-out.

Half a DM's job is to grin at inappropriate moments and chuckle after rolling dice. It creates a sense of dread that's difficult to replicate on the internet, but I do try.

That's what it wants you to think

Really though, we need a plan. Khate's nonlethal focus and general derpiness are probably going to make her poorly suited to getting inside the ship or dealing with its defenses, though being inside a walker might help. Scarlet's probably not super good either, but is probably better suited to cracking autoturrets or the like. Aubrey's right in her element, but I'm not sure she'll be able to do it alone.

Boris would be a godsend here, especially with his seething hate of anything that shiny. Dwarmin probably wouldn't be super qualified, but her general scienceness and specialty with organic defenses might still make her handy. Kesari's official profession wouldn't be much help, but her perceptiveness and experience telling our ditzy AI what to do might be nice to have.

So the way I see it, we have two options: We go with what we have, which is to say hope Khate can soak up whatever the ship throws at us while Scarlet and Aubrey perform hard and soft bypass routines, respectively. Or we bring in reinforcements, which takes time and might require one of us to pilot the sled back to pick them up.

Time is of the essence, so I think I'm leaning towards just jumping for it. But I also don't trust that ship at all.

Sadish could probably tackle people! Also, I actually do have some interesting equipment, as noted.

Otherwise, she's sort of stuck in time limbo right now.

IC I think it would be preferable to just go now, but OOC I think that might leave several fairly dull turns for half of us, and a lot of risk for the other half...

Perhaps a compromise would be for Khate and Scarlet to secure the prisoners / round up the evacuees whilst Aubrey taxis the other three over for a full force assault.

I wouldn't worry about the people on station having dull turns.

I wouldn't worry about that at all.

Btw, Is time limbo a thing or can I ignore that? :P

It's sort of weird Sadish has managed at least three major science projects in like, the 60 seconds that has gone by since they boarded the station.

She must be really motivated!

You can mostly ignore it, she was doing the bulk of it while Aubrey was sending the shuttle over.

Your time is, more or less, the same as everyone else's time.

It has to do with a lot of stuff regarding the velocities of space ships, special relativity, and the local time dilation inside of ships that have recently traversed a bore. Very technical.*

*No, that's not a thing, do not ever try to use that in the game.

Oh? This is tension building? o_O

Had me really tense after reading the prologue that IC, we do not know. :I So good job! I:

Also I think we lack the only ship/shuttle available to get reinforcements, much like how in Mass Effect, they only had 1 shuttle--but also one drop pod/Mako-class vehicle ;~; (Seriously miss that nice thing). But here, we only have that one shuttle :P

Cheers Away team!

Comrades. There are two reasons for Varkonius to buy a goat. 1/ he's a bit eccentric. 2/ he needs to feed his panther.

However, there are two reasons for him not to, in fact, buy a goat. 1/ to set up a trap on the surface because he knows lots of people are after him. 2/ to not actually go there at all (because etc.) but instead send everyone there whilst he complete the deal and leaves OR JUST SITS ON HIS SHIP WAITING FOR US TO WALK INTO ANOTHER TRAP OH GOD HELP.

Why don't we just give up the life of violence and money, and instead roam the stars busking peacefully for the rest of our days? I don't want to die yet!

3/ 'Goat' is a code word for something else entirely, and the intro was a false lead.
4/ The rainbow-Cane and varkonius are having tea on his ship right now, ready to virus-gib anyone who shows up.

That just sets them up for a villainous one liner, beginner hero move. :P
