"We will be heading west into Masjay. Since the Sultan is fighting the current King of Aen I, ah, want to seek an audience with him. If he was to win his war and place me on the throne then our journey will be a short one indeed. If that plan does not work, then we will head north into Evreux and see what help we can find. I understand that that, well, my claim on Aen is not as strong as it could be and so assistance from an Evren Duke would be most helpful in our task."

"Can we at least stop squabbling until the adults are through talking?" Maricanus was beginning to get more and more fed up with the antics of the group. He wouldn't actually do anything about it of course. That would require effort, after all.

Diane looks like she's about to respond, but she realizes that was the guy who supported her literally a minute ago, and she falls silent.

"Ah think that if someone's willin' to help us win a war, we ain't in the position to refuse them just because we mightn't like the long term consequences."

"I suppose it depends on what they ask for their assistance. Just because they are an enemy of our enemy does not make them our friends." he said.

"It'd have to be a pretty steep price for me to think it was too expensive for an entire kingdom, that's all ah'm sayin'."

"I would consider inevitable betrayal and death to be price enough, myself. The task is hard enough without clutching vipers to your breast."
