Rajita stands behind Titus, in case there is something out there.

As Titus opens the door, ready to draw his sword, a soft golden light flows in. Along with distant music. Before him, Titus can see what looks like the center of a very small village. Simple, wooden buildings on a flat of golden grass, surrounded by fields of amber grain, with a dense line of trees beyond.

"Ew. Lowtech civ." Koi attempts to see if there are any signals along the electromagnetic spectrum from the settlement.

"... Well then."

No takes a look at the settlement from a mage's perspective: he tries to figure out if there's any aether manipulation(in layman's terms, magic) within the settlement.

Koi can't pick up anything initially, but, going over towards the door, he begins to pick up a blurry microwave signal.

It doesn't feel like there's any magic nearby. Or at least, none that No is familiar with. But something feels strangely... warm?

"Countermand that. They appear to have microwave transmissions. It appears to be playing a wordless song. No other notable frequencies. Possibility of Archeotech Ruins."

"Umm...what does that mean? Anyways, this looks like one of the villages on the outskirts of my kingdom.
Look around. Does anything look out of place?

Titus looks around dumbfounded by what he sees. "I don't know what I expected, but it definitely wasn't this." He moves through the doorway cautiously and keeps his hand on his sword. "Where are we?"

Stepping out of the box, Rajita and Titus take in the sights. The village really isn't very big at all, consisting of a big lodge, a barn, and about a dozen small houses. It sits almost exactly in the middle of a big square of land, filled mostly with fields. The square seems to be surrounded on all sides by thick woods, though small, dirt roads lead out from the village center towards each of the four sides, into the trees.

Some people seem to be returning from the fields. They look pretty ordinary, folks in long-sleeved white shirts and black pants with suspenders, most wearing wide-brimmed straw hats. A young man sitting on a nearby porch is strumming a guitar.

It all feels so peaceful... You soon spot some words, though. A simple wooden sign in the exact center of the village square, reading "Forever"

"It's droll alright. But at least nothing's trying to kill us. Still, I'm stumped as to how we landed here..."

"I agree. I left Kerala because I wanted to be free, not become a farmer."

The boy with the guitar looks up, without interrupting his song. "Howdy. Nice day, isn't it?"

"By the Minds. This is possibly the most boring place I have ever laid my eyes upon."
As Koi gets a better look, he gets two fixes on the source of the signal. Looks like microwave signals come from the guitar every time its strummed, and the same signal is coming from somewhere off in the trees beyond the crops.

"Guitar is the source of the microwave transmissions. Likely cross between standard instrument and a broadcast system. Although why anyone would produce such a nuisance is beyond me. Secondary source beyond treeline. Unknown specifics."
