Move through the building, wait till I am at the building its in, a floor or two below it and just go crazy with the heavy machine gun and I think that laser cutter thing I made from the broken lparticle cannon before moving away from the collapsing building
Drones move around the buildings so if he runs I can quickly chase after him and slice him up.
Particle drones keep on watch for any aproaching hsotiles who will get to meet the white hot dong in action, who ever said size mattered?! Big things come in small packages.
Have one of those particle drones fire at the glittery thing in the north, a big fuck off message
Other two fire torwards the rest of those other flying things, that will also be a big fuck off message, if possible have one non particle drone fly near by them and broadcast "Go away", make sure to do it north of where thoses drones where.
I feel like a total asshat for the pun and jokes.
Anyways when the spider bot is confirmed dead quickly scavenge through what ever he has left intact and head out south east past the crate and helicopter
You are already inside the building, just one floor below the spiderman. Perfect place to unleash your mighty crotch rod and let it spit fire upwards. Of course before that you switch power cable for the mutilated particle cannon and let the two sing together. You swing the laser around carving small sections off the roof. Down comes pieces of meat, internal organs and some weird sludge. That's one down.
With that done you clamber upstairs and check out the spider from up and close, and wow, it's still not dead! But considering six out of its eight legs have been burned/ripped off and it has a bit hole carved through its body it is most definitely out of comission. So, its stuff. Let's see.... it got a dartgun strapped on its armor, now cut in half thanks to your laser. A shotgun and a bunch of ammo for that, looks very standard weapon. FN P90 held on its upper arms. Rather brutal looking heavy mace. And a modified mortar with couple of rounds left, nine normal explosive rounds and seven with biohazard sign. What you want to take? Keep in mind that you need your both hands to carry your two particle cannons around and you don't seem to have too many places to strap things on.
Next is those drones in north. One of your particle beams misses its target narrowly, but the second one hits making it blow up violently. Two airborne objects left.
I don't think your drones have audio broadcast capabilities, or even radio broadcasting so I'm gonna pass that "go away" message for now.
Now your trip to southeast is halted by four... lizard monsters(?) coming out of building at end of the road. And couple of more from opposite direction. They look like humans mostly, but famished ones. They have scales, randomly growing horns on their bodies, not a single one has identical horn layout. Their hands have sharp claws and mouth is likewise filled with sharp teeths. They also are wearing clothes typical to people in arabic region, some more tattered than others. And they seem hungry.
Oh, well, that's good then. And yes on the belly full of slurry. Anyways, more jelly on my ears and any broken legs/arms/stumps I can reach. Maybe it will speed up the healing process.
If I think a drone/the other is following me, shoot it. Try and get away from where I am, the other has to know where I am by now. Try and rig a trap for them, if possible. Maybe it'll slow them down.
Also, weren't we dropped off in the middle of the night? That seems unlikely that the sun is rising now, without any sort of dawn or anything.
If it looks like I'm going to die/all is lost, go out in a suicidal blaze of glory. Set off everything I have on me.
Yeah, its very weird time for sun to rise. Besides isn't it supposed to rise from east? That's way too north to be the sun.
While you are smearing the jelly around someone unleashes heavy machine gun on the floor below, shooting straight through wooden panels and into your body. The armor does good job draining their kinetic power, but the laser that follows cuts of large section of your body, including portion of your guts which holds a plenty of your food. That means your regeneration will be pretty much over.
With this you are effectively dead. Not truly dead or even unconscious, but you are not recovering from that. Better hope none of those monster maker monsters come around and try to eat you alive. Don't pick fight with invisible thundertron next time.
Well fuck my luck then.
Might as well give the a guy a final fuck you then.
Activate my jets and try to tackle that fucker.
Yeah, let's have party in hell together. It's sound logic. You lift your body up and rotate yourself into better angle despite of the fire in your chest. Thursters activate, and since this time they have less weight to overcome, they give you fairly nice boost. You soar forward with fires of hell rising behind, and coming to dead stop your a meter away from him. There's no deceleration or trusters dying. One moment you are soaring forward and on next you are floating in mid air before gravity remembers you still exist. You drop down and thrusters start pushing you forward again.
At some point the man lost his legs and hand. You didn't notice when this happened, but it doesn't matter. He'll be giving you lapdance in hell soon enough! Fire burning in your chest you push yourself up once again, biting your own tongue to focus on the final task. You grab hold of him and partially push and drag him around the burning ground few meters before coming in contact with a wall. He seems to be shouting something, but you can't quite understand his words. Something about a plan? Eh, who cares about the plan.
Defiance is what they call you, Revenge is your second name. Welcome, nice to meet you, and goodbye! See ya in hell!
Thirty seconds later the antimatter plant will register both your heart and lungs have stopped and will shutdown measures keeping antimatter from interacting with matter.
And then...Squad 1: whatever that was, it's extremely dangerous and probably has a strong power source. It wiped out two heavily armored drones in seconds. Keep camo up, move slowly, and hunt for any signs of powered armor or enemy drones.
Clone 4: Leave the building and reposition to the next highest ASAP. Do not get detected.
Clone 3: We need allies for the big plan. Get that guy away from satan's piss, hide him somewhere safe, and try to save his life. We need to get him a EVAC.
Artillery: Fliers will locate and fire on whatever the hell it was that just fried two of our heavy armor drones. Everything else will fall back to Squad 1's previous position and take up defensive positions, opening fire on all targets that move into the area. Lets try to bait them into staging an attack on that location...
Squad 1: This might be good time to make use of your psionic powers, those are something you are fairly certain nobody can protect against. But you recollect yourself into more mobile shape and keep advancing. Before your ears area assaulted by ground shattering thunder yet again, you are certain you heard bunch of car engines from south. No headlights, however. But then again you would be suprised to find any intact glass from the city anymore.
#4: Next tallest building? There's three, each about 200 meters from the roundabout where your main group is going to, one to west, another to north, and third to east. The northern one seems to have unmanned anti air turret on its roof, so perhaps not there. Maybe eastern one then? Prime group will pass it very soon. Anyway that seems like the direction you are better move to. You scamper down and run to the spot where squad 1 was taking cover.
Artillery: One of the flyers going to south is erased with ear shattering boom and another one is takes light damage to its side. Nothing that will hinder its operative ability. Those two were the most southern ones. Two swarms scatter looking for trouble. They find nothing that looks like the enemy, but they do find colonna of six vans speeding towards the roundabout from east. They seem to be slowing down considerably after this latest thundering blast. Probably hurt their ears.
#3: The armored man doesn't seem to be forgiving type. He pushes his body up, his chest burning with white fire, turns towards you and then he's hurtling himself towards you riding burst of fire and gale. Having lost your legs and being on fire at the same time you don't have any chances to dodge. Except you don't need to. He suddenly stops in midair right in front of you and falls down like a rock. Oh, looks like Confundium Harmonizer shield is working. A great investment, that! You have no time for celebrations because this dude is dead set on tackling you. Having his legs burned into ash and getting hole burned into his chest does that to man, you guess. His speed is now greatly reduced but it doesn't help you, thrusters on his back keep pushing him forward and his current speed doesn't trigger CH shield.
You end up being dragged along the sandy road and pressed against wall, where his grip loosens a bit. You yell at him, begging him to let you save him, but no avail. Now, you are pressed against burning wall by burning man, all fires hot enough to melt your nanites into slag. What you are going to do?
((There was a plan here to split up and try to handle the plasma drones and the biological threat, except on rereading I realized they're in a similar direction instead of different ones.
So the plan remains the same, but we're going to stay away from the north and instead try to distance ourselves from the strange glow in the northeast, and focus on taking down whoever is making mutants and the plasma drones.))
Modified plan:
----------------------------
There is actually a bit of a tactical huddle in KHH's mind(s). It's not really a debate even, because there's no multiple personalities, it's just the scientist thinking what the soldier would think using his memories and training. So.. tactical para-monologue?
But anyway.
The crux of the issue is that it looks like the course of action the scientist wants to take is to split up. The firepower of those invisible cannon drones can't be left unchecked, and since nobody seems to have taken an interest in us it's a great opportunity to take a flanking position and attempt to take them out when they resume firing. At the same time, the strange biological threat should not be ignored - while it will not technically endanger us, it has the capacity to make recovery and extraction difficult since it doesn't seem likely that taking out the source will render the mutants inert.
The scientist's proposition is to split into two groups, one Recon at the helm of each. Henry would take Alex and the Support squad, and go south, swinging far west around the battlefield to try and blindside the plasma-cannon drones and their owner. They would mercy-kill the incapacitated locals at the building, because if whatever is making the mutants in the west gets to them, killing is certainly going to be a mercy. They would otherwise move quickly and as silently as possible, to minimize delays caused by eliminating witnesses and the chance of being discovered by the plasma-cannon operator.
The other group would be Felix and the two fully functional Assaults, Ben and Carl. They would instead go south-west, taking out the emerging mutants. Their task would be to find the cause of the biological threat and if possible, eliminate it - then proceed to eliminate as many of the biomonsters as possible. Since they'll be mostly fighting melee monsters in close-ish quarters, it doesn't make sense for them to take Support units that mostly work at long range. Their secondary task, if it will become necessary, is to take and hold the attention of the plasma-cannon operator by creating a zone of loud activity to the east-southeast that the enemy will potentially be drawn to.
Contact between groups could be maintained via radio.
What are the soldier's thoughts on the matter?
edit: apparently I forgot how to compass
This is a good plan I only hope Alex doesnt take even more damage also with the mutent hunting group if a large group of mutants are found dont engage and drop a TOC grenade on them and see if they attack each other.
Just to remind, Felix is in Support squad. Gunther is the other Recon man. Cat. Techno velociraptor cat. So group one is Henry (Recon), Alex (assault), Daniel, Erik and Felix (all Support). Group two is Gunther (Recon), Ben and Carl (Assault).
Group 1: Three hundred meters to west is a bridge over something, probably dried up river. It could make perfect low route assuming it isn't full of water. Otherwise you may have to get on rooftops and be more visible. Either way you have to cut your way through increasing horde of lizard monsters. Sure they have scales (yours are harder), longs claws (yours are sharper), sharp looking teeths (not losing here either) and a bunch of bony horns growing randomly on their bodies (have to admit loss here, you got nothing to compare). Everyone got different layout of those horns. But you have very sharp swords. And other high caliber weapons. Ateryu bots, roll out!
Mutants have no qualms attacking you as soon as they detect you, mouths heavily salivating. Programmed for great hunger, or perhaps side effect of rapid mutation? Interesting anyway. You take out swords and cut flesh like butter, severing legs and arms around you while swiftly dodging their attempts to grab you. For every mutant you cut down another comes out from doors and windows on southern side like endless tide, but the group makes it past most of them.
Group 2: Following closely behind group 1 you make more thorough work of the mutants, not satisfied with merely cut legs, but going for kill. Some mutants are running after group 1, but most are happy to chase less mobile targets. There's 30 dead or dying mutants laying on the road and more keeps coming from southern buildings. And if you aren't entirely wrong, you hear their insatiated howling from north too mixed with more humane terrified screams. Locating origin of these is harder to do. First thing to do is to determine area where they exist and maybe then you can make more educated guess. And to do that you may have to get back up to rooftops and observe surroundings very carefully.
And yet again loud thunder splits heavens. Quick glance reveals another pair of dispersing superhot plasma channels up in the air. SPU analysis coupled with record of previous ones indicates these lines intersect the two origin points of previous beams. Doesn't look like shooter(s) are moving very much.
Hey starwars, if you can't hit that annoying drone because your gun lacks the vertical traverse, remember that your zombies have rifles.
Take down the drone with zombie's rifles. If the drone is mostly intact, repair/reprogram it to obey me using the tech brain. But before repairing the drone, run away since the enemy knows my location now.
((All your drone belong to us.))
The drone is now going upwards fast. Guess that means something. You give orders to the zombies and they lift their rifles in usual twitchy manner. They fire a little too long burst and by some miracle they seem to hit the drone. It falls straight down and you catch it. Cursory glance reveals it being outwardly rather standard model. There's even manufacturer's logo printed on, but it could be a red herring. Can't tell anything without dedicated study.
Time to run. There's intersection ahead. You could go from there either to northeast following the current road, or go to east or west. In north, well withing range of Terrorizer, is three armed men. One is shooting walls another seems to be swallowing bullets one by one and third is undressing with impressive speed. After getting his clothes of he shoots his junk off. Crazy... Well, it seems that last dude just got a bullet into his head. Not from your weapons, that's for certain. It took good chuck of is brain matter out.
And thunder in west never ends.
Recon South: Target locked. The two bodies further away move to cover the power-armoured guy's most likely avenues of escape, closer body try to get sight of him. Don't get too close, but if I can get a killing teleport on him don't hesitate.
Recon North: Use teleportation to remove small pieces of furniture and transplant them into the spaces I know the guys taking cover to be at, trying for a thing where they die by small pieces of wood being transplanted into their heads. If that's not possible with the power I have, just teleport small chunks of their cover out so I can shoot them.
If the crazy effect guy comes near, disengage, shouting in Arabic about 'demons coming near', and go kill his ass.
Sniper South: Can I get a shot off at Crazy Power Armor Dude? If so, take the shot at the first available opportunity. If not, just monitor the area for anything else.
Epicentre Drone: Bug out, I have my target now. Get some height, rising in erratic patterns to try to avoid gunfire, and go someplace else. Check out the mosque near Recon North if I get away, try to figure out if there's anyone else in there.
Sniper Nest: Keep an eye out for potential targets obviously, but also try to see if anyone's in that mosque. I'm assuming there is, but maybe I'm lucky. Two sniper-trapper pairs begin to move out toward it nonetheless, staying stealthy.
Sky High Drone: Yeah, let's get away from that glowing area - if that's not about to explode, I dunno what is. Go high again if I went low and see if there's anything else of consequence happening around the city.
Third Drone: Go northeast, see if there's anything that caused those explosions. If I see anything, stay well away from it, obviously.
Epicentre Drone: It detects the three armed men twitching weirdly as they take aim on it and fire. After that the drone feed goes dark. They got it.
Recon South: Time to run fast. The pair one runs futher west, climbing over a fence to somebody's very green backyard. They don't stop for a moment and instead keep running, kicking down a back door, proceeding inside, through the building and out from front door. There you review your location and surroundings. You are in a larger intersection. Wide road is going southwest/northeast direction from here, and 277.52 meters in southeast a car colonna is turning to north. Your target is somewhere in northest, but you can't see them from here. Too dark. Brief sensation of paranoia disappears, indicating he's at least not going towards you at the moment. You hear some more assault gun firing from their direction.
Recon North: It is possible to target area you don't see, but exact location and size tends to vary. So you give it a try. Judging by pained screams, gagging and other weird sounds you didn't quite manage to kill any of them. You have no idea what gave them about idea wood being bullet proof. Sure your pistols don't have much of penetrating power, but it should still be enough kill someone hiding behind flipped table. You take cover by yourself when you start hearing sounds of people coming from upstairs. There's three dudes still alive you are aware of, and at least three more coming down.
Sniper south: They are still annoyingly in shadows of those houses. But you spot three ISIS fighters ahead of them. One is shooting walls, another is eating bullets and third shot his own genitals off. Might as well make him a favour and kill that last one. Single shot straight through the skull.
Sniper nest: yeah, you see a nervous patrol walking there. Two snipers and trappers move out, first to west to better road. From there you could just follow the road to where Recon North is and and maybe climb over walls near there.
Sky High: this drone is pretty far from any danger. Technically it is some hundred meters above Recon South. But the glow doesn't seem to be getting brighter nor dimmer, so who knows what will happen there. Hmm, there's movement on roads and rooftops in west, between burning helicopters and recon south. A lot of movement. Two separate car colonnas too, the one Recon South saw and another by a largest roundabout in this city.
Third drone: I actually meant northwest, where all the other action is taking place. So drone is getting more height. Staying low may not be a good idea.
More thunder from northwest. It never ends.
Hide in an alley and do the drone thing that I tried to do earlier. If I can get into a position where I can easily snipe another supersoldier, do so. Otherwise, continue my journey.
How loud is my coilgun?
On normal setting biggest sound comes from the supersonic bullet itself. Coils will of course make some noise when they discharge, but it is acceptable level for a sniper. Overdrive setting on the other hand is much louder, coil discharge being near avarage gunshot.
Drone speech? You did that already. Do you by any change want to use them for scouting? Or do you want to keep small horde of drones hovering around you?
That minaret in south is probably best place for sniping short of the mosque roof you just left behind. Well, it was occupied place anyway. You run east along the road to keep your visibility low and stop for a moment to listen in first intersection. Yep, there's firefight going on in the building on other side where you saw those men entering. Screams of pain are coming there too. Only ones fighting here are supersoldiers, either against other supersoldiers or against local military force. Which means some of your targets are right here, on other side of the intersection. You could climb up to roof of this building next to you and get ready to snipe them when they inevitably come out, or you could sneak in behind them and use the monoatomic katana to kill them.
You hear some assault rifle fire from west, suprisingly close. And increasing volume of moronic wailing from same direction.
And endless thunder from further west. Sounds like rather massive superweapon firefight. You wonder how heavily armored people must be if that loud weapons haven't ended fight yet.
