There, done.
Phew, that took a while, my original plan for an insectoid species was scuttled when I realised I couldn't really make a scenario where it made sense and didn't seem like I was trying to be a special little snowflake.
Name: Mall Gannon
Gender: Male.
Age: 34
Essence Organ: The brain, obviously.
Appearance: Somewhat tall, with wiry muscles and dark, tanned skin worn through constant exposure to the elements, he has a shaved head, along with light blue eyes, his hands are heavily calloused, while scars are dotted around his body.
Personality: Surprisingly emotional, but also quite shy, idealistic and tends to dislike immediate violent action.
Backstory: Mall Gannon was born after a nuclear apocalypse decimated the planet, humans still survived in previously constructed bunkers and reconstructed buildings throughout the land, while raiders and armies fought for food, water, control or just for the sake of violence, Mall was born into a more stable area, where stable meant that invasions of giant man-eating scorpions and ants the size of small cars only sometimes attacked the village, the way he grew up meant he wasn't able to have a simple child's life, being naturally empathic and intelligent, he began exploring the art of healing, some books were stored well through the apocalypse, and of those books were books on the nature of the human body, he dove into them, constructed simple tools to help his procedures, as he improved, his field of expertise expanded, working on animals, pet mole rats, sometimes even broken down machinery, he failed often, naturally, but never forgot them, always striving to improve.
Eventually, he began teaching others, once he thought them ready to take things up in his stead, he left for other pastures, helping those in need wherever he went, and slowly gained a reputation for stunning acts of improvisation and skill that he himself would sometimes be left confused, when he was offered the position of Cazadore, he accepted without a second thought to be able to save as many people as he could.
Abilities: [0/5 Ability Points Remaining]
Active:
Oh Dear, You May Want To Look Away For Now [Operation] (Level 1): Can perform an operation on someone to repair minor damage (Such as small to medium sized cuts, dislocations) in one turn, moderate damage (Bullet wounds, broken bones, concussions, poisoned) with slight aftereffects in two turns, or spend three turns to fix serious damage (Caught in an explosion, third degree burns, serious bloodloss) with moderate aftereffects, more advanced tools (Such as drugs or professionally made tools) can give a bonus to the roll, but are not required, while this is going on, the effects of the wounds being treated are decreased.
I Can Keep You Alive, But I'm Not Promising Much Else [Stasis] (Level 1): Can spend one turn to keep serious to critical (Pulped limbs, dismemberment, possibly minor essence organ damage?) wounds from worsening, but any new damage or strain can cause the injury to reopen again and worsen even more, serious wounds can be worked with improvised tools without a malus, but critical wounds cannot be put into stasis without advanced equipment, and even then still be given a minor malus unless the environment is both quiet and sterilised.
Passive:
No, I don't Need A Scalpel, Lemme Show You Why... [Improvisation] (Level 1): Mall can use things from the environment to quickly make tools if needed, making simple tools (Such as a cutting instrument or splint) require one turn and have a 1+ bonus to the roll in making them, given he has the correct materials, while more complex creations take two turns and have no bonus, but can be rushed for a -1 malus.
Trust Me, I've Worked With A Lot Of Things. [Adaptability] (Level 1): all operations on humans have a 1+, operations on non-humanoids or humanoid aliens have a -1 malus until 3 turns in total of operations have been done on their species, at which point the malus is removed, after an additional five turns of operations have been performed on them, any future work on them is given a +1 bonus.
Wires Are Basically Veins When You Get Down To It. [Robotics Knowledge]: Robotic beings can also have Operation with a -1 malus (This does benefit from Adaptability but only up to a neutral) used on them as long as the proper tools are around, this includes things like guns or other machines.
Zielon Wallet: $0 Keeps track of your current Zielon amount. Starts at 0. Zielons are denoted by the $ symbol.
Equipment: The Big Bag Of The Wasteland Surgeon: As well as comfortably holding a variety of rugged tools and clean cloth bandages, this toughened (And mildly bulletproof) hide bag also holds multiple impact-resistant vials to put liquids or other fragile materials in, already filled with antiseptics and painkillers, not to mention a roll of heavy-duty duct tape.
Doctor's Coat: Mall may be idealistic, but he's not an idiot, this dark brown reinforced coat is designed to be bulletproof (+1 to damage resistance rolls) and contains quick-draw holsters for a gun and knife.
Inventory: Keeps track of non-starting Equipment and Items gained in Missions or otherwise.
So this is probably as unbalanced as hell, I'd really appreciate some help in making it less so.
