Appearance: This. She also has a small circular handbag, with a yellow star symbol on it.

Personality: Ramona is mysterious, and really, nobody really knows her. She seems to be calm most of the time, and she doesn't often make emotional connections with others. She has a picture in her bag which she looks at, and she smiles.

Backstory: Unknown. (Scott Pilgrim spoilers, sorry )

3. [Level 1 Passive]Melee Proficiency: Any attack performed with a melee weapon, or in unarmed combat, receives a +1 bonus. Also allows for combos, if the situation allows it.

Subspace Handbag: A circular handbag which allows spatial/dimensional travel via subspace highways. It also allows direct passage into Ramona's mind-pocket dimension, which is useful as storage, but a potential weak point. It allows her to find subspace highways as well.

I'm thinking beleagured surgeon crossed with MacGyver, something that'd allow me to fix really critical damage in a variety of situations, or put somebody in stasis if the damage is too much.
So an active skill that can repair serious damage to a certain body part over a turn or two, another one that can keep critical damage from getting any worse, but perhaps putting the person used on out of action for a bit, and some other, assorted passives to help do those things.
Maybe with some sort of insectoid race theme, too.

A good surgeon on hand does sound pretty useful. Or a good source of potential malpractice. Especially if the other healer happens to be in their damaging mode or incapacitated and in need of heeling herself. Plus with the party's tendency to split, more healers would always be nice.

Yes. Even if everyone was a medic. We'd just malpractice the Miasma into submission.

I think I'd have to have a lot of levels before I could do that.
But yeah, I'm thinking a simple passive that'd let me make and use tools with a small malus, maybe taking longer and needing more materials the more complex it is.

Name: Cadence
Gender: Female
Age: About 18
Essence Organ: Her heart, beating rhythmically with the background music.

Appearance: Cadence is human, and fairly tall for her age. She has thick blond hair, and...actually kinda small facial features. Small nose, small mouth, etc. She sports sewn leather boots, greenish-grey shirt and pants, with a red tunic over top. She also wears a nice blue bandanna to complete the ensemble. Everything she wears is hand-made, and it shows. However, it's all very practical in the end, as the thick fabric has saver her own skin multiple times.

Personality: For someone once cursed by an evil wizard, she's pretty chipper overall. She likes people...eventually. Having to traverse several dungeons filled with monsters and aggressive music has made her a bit wary of other people. She has to get to know people a little bit, make sure they're not mimics of some sort, and then she's usually very friendly with them. She enjoys dancing, even though she had to spend a really long time doing that due to the whole 'Curse' thing. She's pretty much just gotten used to it at this point. She steadfastly refuses to sing though.

Backstory: Cadence was very young when her father went missing, leaving to search for a cue for her mother's sickness. As she grew, her mother grew sicker and sicker, until she could bear it no longer. She ventured out to search for her father. Unfortunately, things went a bit tits-up and she found herself with her heart in the clutches of the dreaded NECRODANCER. Needless to say that pissed her off. She traversed the dungeon, even as she was cursed to literally move to the beat of a very different drum. Eventually, through progressively difficult trials involving her, her mother, and her grandmother, she became reunited with her family once more.

But still, she felt something was wrong. Her heart still beat strangely. She felt compelled to move her feet, and what's more she felt compelled to fight. Something was wrong. Somewhere. And she was going to stop it.

Transmute (Level 1 Active) - Transforms a chosen held item into another similar, but different item. An apple might become a leg of lamb, a longsword might become a rapier, etc. (3 Turn Cooldown)

We've Got The Beat (Level 1 Passive) - +2 to the use of Music or Dance-based attacks.

Heartbeat Song (Level 1 Passive) - Continuously heals a little bit as long as music is playing within earshot of her. Well, good music.

Record Skip (Level 1 Active) - Pauses the fight soundtrack, causing enemies to trip up and gain a -1 to next attacks. (3 Turn Cooldown)

Great Balls of Fire (Level 1 Active) - Shoots a 20m Beam of Fire from either hand (3 Turn Cooldown)

Titanium Rapier - Shiny Thrust! Shiny Parry! Shiny Dodge! (+1 to regular attacks with this, but can be upped to a +2 when lunging at a target)

I should note, she may be...a little bit underpowered. I'm not sure what's a good idea for like, numbers. I'm used to d6's.
