A, I mean we probably have an idea on what'll happen if we go downriver. Also, check if we've healed any other injuries while we're at it. If we can see again we might have healed elsewhere too.

B

This is either a mistake or filthy politics, we shouldn't have been sent to this place. Before trying to escape Hel like some wrongdoer, we should at least try the official channels to find out what our real situation is.

A is...probably better.
We've been cursing the gods, maybe best not to go test if they heard us or not.

A. Clearly our ending up in Hel was a mistake.

Piety has nothing to do with it, it's our right! You die in battle, or at least with your weapon in your hand, and you get a warrior's afterlife; in that all the sagas, all the drinking songs, all the elderly húskarlar agree, that's how it should go! We've been wronged!

We died in a fukken' duel, after being called a coward.

That changes things a bit from dying in battle.

It was in honourable combat and we held our ground to the end, proving to all that we were no filthy coward! Anyway, Ólafur Eiríkrsson's father, old Eiríkr Éinarsson, died in his bed but he had his axe and shield, so even then everybody agreed he'd go to Valhalla.

Called a coward, not actually being one (Foolish, perhaps). Valhalla would've normally awaited us regardless.

Mind you, if we get to meet the gods, and they turn out to be assholes we'll just go worship baldr/christ by himself :P
