I'd really advise not investing power into creating the world creation Happy Demon. That's how the world in Litany blew up.
Pretty sure empowering things don't make them explode.
Otherwise you'd blow people up when you try giving them a temporary power boost.
The desired effect is clear. Faster growth.
Using power to create a world causes it to be unstable.
Create the World-Seed using 4 Essence and spend 8 Power to help it grow. Again, it requires essence/power from other Gods to grow to full potential. Each point of essence or two points of Power put in gives one vote. Again, in case of a tie, I get one extra vote.
Now here's what I was waiting for.
Lithus puts ten units of power and two of essence for the formation of a torus world.
The seed of a planet is planted into the soil of the sun's orbit, taking instead the form of a large clump of dirt. With the addition of power, it explodes outwards like a balloon filled with air! The dirt making up the seed then begins shifting like an angry ocean, with waves of sand throwing themselves in every direction. (Teburshe -4E, -8P)

Similarly, the planet seed begins to grow as if grass as more essence and power joins into it. As with its star, it dances between shapes as the will of multiple Gods face each other, each time expanding larger and larger, with the tempest of planetary material becoming more and more violent with each ounce of Power. (Gai-gen -2E), (Lithus -2E, -10P),

Oddly, Iliseth decides to pour power into the Sun. As with the planet, it expands significantly, however everyone can sense the instability in the creation. It still seems more stable then the planet...(Iliseth-4P)
Alicia puts two essence and four power into the star seed
Alicia puts two essence and two power into the planet seed.
She does not vote.
Finally, the dust on the planet settled completely, as the massive amount of Power input into it seems to vanish. For a moment, the planet is finally stable. Then, massive tremors run through the structure, shaking it to the very core of the planet. Every inch of the twisting torus begins vibrating in different directions! Cracks begin to appear in different locations. All at once, entire plates of earth launch themselves in different directions, flying into the Void. Craters, ranging from absurdly massive to fist sized, fill the surface of the planet. Several sections of the loop simply vanish into dust, breaking what was once a complete loop around the sun into three uneven pieces separated by hundreds of miles of Void. Several areas seem to remain untouched, only to have had their core and mantle removed to become husks of crust. As a final insult, a flare several dozen miles long erupts from the sun and scorches what was once an untouched part of the planet.

And keep in mind those were basically specifically designed to use Power to grow, too.

That said, this is meta knowledge, and being naughty is bad thing.

Yeah, and then it disappears after a tick leaving gaping holes in the world.
If the effect is faster growth, then the absence of said effect is normal growth.
This isn't like increasing the size, it's rushing how fast it gets there.
Using power to create a world causes it to be unstable.
The examples show 20 power and 8 essence being used. With clear warning.
And keep in mind those were basically specifically designed to use Power to grow, too.

That said, this is meta knowledge, and being naughty is bad thing.
It's not something that can grow.

It was a World Seed created by the God of Growth. This is not.

don't quote me on this, I did not play litany, but what I'm thinking is the power use is fine.

the power is not being used to construct the world, its being used to increase the growth of it AFTER its created.

of course if it would make the world unstable I'm sure we will be warned.

What with creations not having a predetermined price, is it possible to upgrade them afterwards?

If litany is a precedent, I did that several times.

So is this MC Escher stuff, or do I now need to look up 3D geometry to visualize what we're doing?

You guys are the ones making it. Sounds closer to MC Escher stuff.

Power+planet=Shrug

Yes, upgrades can happen later.

Oh, and forgot about a thing with the Blink Lizards.
They have a size limit on their teleport, and they can't teleport part of things.
So if you're big and grab it, it can't teleport. But if you're small, or covered in Blink Lizards, you will teleport with them.
You can also tie it to a big object, but putting it in a cage will do nothing to limit it's teleportation. Unless it's a very small cage.
Oh, and if close to each other, the Blink Lizards will teleport to the same location.

Alright, it looks like World Tree has a significant advantage in the income investment, and apparently more support. The tick will go up tomorrow, if things continue as they are, the World Tree design will be used. If the design doesn't come with a sun, now would be time time for one :P.

The branchsun idea is nice, and it does not oppose the sunflies at all..

Wouldn't they work better as stars? The sunflies light the day, the branchlanterns light the night.
