BFEL, chill out would you? I'm not trying to dismiss you, just saying that we need to keep it civil.

or the fact that you're stuck with him.

You too :P
Sorry, that one wasn't directed at you, PTTG just made things a bit personal there and I felt the need to shut that shit down.

I knew it wasn't directed at me, I was just saying to keep it civil, and the 'not dismissing you' bit was referring to the 'BFEL, chill out would you?' bit.

BFEL, like Trump, confuses volume and vulgarity for success.

Yeah, I'm all for civil discussion of an issue. And tbh my whole stance this election is less "Trump is the best thing EVAR" and more "lets wait and see, he's probably not as bad as everyone seems to have convinced themselves".

But yeah, when someone says I condone rape the gloves come off.

His cabinet picks are terrible, so far, which for me has been the single most incriminating thing, since it's related to his actual plans for office. He seems to have gone out of his way to find people as opposed to the official purpose of the agency in question as possible.

Also, 'rape' also includes coercion. "Let" does not imply consent, it implies nonresistance. If I let you punch me in the face because if I fought back you would be able to afford enough lawyers to sue me to kingdom come, that is not me consenting to being punched. That is me not resisting being assaulted.

He's probably not going to be as bad as people say he is, much Clinton wouldn't have been as bad as people she is. Fact remains that he's not going to be good.

Trump's entire schtick is to shake things up and 'drain the swamp', so, yeah, that's clearly what he's been doing. At least with most of the economic departments.

Though I think Perry is going to find it rather hard to kill the Department of Energy because it manages our nuclear weapons.

In Trump's view it is, by putting non-politicians in there.

Yeah, his national security and state department team aren't those who want to destroy the department, but rather those that are outsiders generally, and those that he likes. Mattis would be a good counter to Trump, but that only works if he is willing to listen to Mattis.
