Trump's hearty support of Putin is yet another on the long list of things I hate about him, and a pretty major one, too: I despise pretty much everything that Putin has done. It actually gets me angry seeing Trump buddy up to the Russian govt like that, and seeing some Republicans follow his lead. God damn, if you want to advertise American freedom, if you want to portray yourselves as its defenders, you don't do it by by buddying up to a glorified dictator with political prisoners.

New (and by new, I mean every third-grader ever) tactic of Trump campaign when confronted with unfavorable information.

"SAYS WHO?"

I'll give Trump this, he seems to have uncorked the finest stash of douchebags known to man to staff his campaign. So many punchable faces, not enough fists.


EDIT: And this may be a foreshadowing of the new-look Trump campaign. Manafort was actually Trump's *moderating* influence, if that can be believed. When Manafort and major GOP players had an "intervention" last week to issue an ultimatum to tone that shit down, Trump's response appears to be to give them a big fuck you and demote Manafort and elevate some people who love his scorched earth campaign.

Expect to see more combative, outright denials of reality, increased vitriol, and rabble-rousing that will make the Sarah Palin rallies look like tea time on the McNeil-Lehrer Report.
Also expect to see the GOP pull the ripcord and desert Trump in droves, and funnel their money to down-ballot races.

My friends, we could be bearing witness to the final months of an American political party.

Yes, but just imagine the repercussions within the party at the state/local level if Trump gets steamrolled after the GOP party apparatus abandons him. (even if he was going to get steamrolled regardless)

The Tea Party "revolt" will seem like a happy memory by comparison. There will be primary challenges and split votes across the whole country, which will cripple them and potentially usher in a wave of Democrats.
