Alright, now to question the mechanics!

So, if I read this right, we have (at best) a 50% chance of dying in each fight? That is to say, we choose a Tier One or Tier Two attack (having no Tier 3), the enemies do the same, and :
1. We both use Tier 2/1 (50% win chance),
2. One uses Tier 1, the other uses 2 (apparently also a 50% chance)

Does that mean we will die after just a couple of fights?

First, if a block is destroyed, it doesn't mean you die you just have one less action possible.
Second, most mooks will not have more than tier one blocks as far as I know.
Third, you don't select what block you use to defend as far as I know so you should end up with at an advantage over the enemies due to the second point..

lastly, You don't Die, you are just taken out of the fight for one reason or another,

Also, In the case of equal rolls, an attacking enemy has a chance to be countered if they fail.

If you have a block taken out, the things balanced on top of it drop in power to that removed block's level.

Combat basically amounts to Figuring out enemy weaknesses and not having your own weaknesses targeted.  People will be taken out often, and Combat will be fast paced and involve Very long winded turns and actions that are resolved in some cases in as little as 1 roll.

Yeah, One Piece in space is the theme, I don't know.  If it is that big a problem i can just restrict harder.

Smiley, a poison blob created by Caesar Clown and given intelligence by Zoan fruit animation. It hasn't really been explained yet, but Vegapunk is capable of injecting devilfruit into inanimate objects, giving them animal like intelligence. Things like a gun with a dog fruit, a sword with the elephant fruit, and in this case a poison blob with an axolotl fruit have already appeared. Artificial lifeforms like this already exist in OP .
