Children's Card (and Toy) Games: Advent (IC)
« on: May 04, 2016, 11:18:29 pm »

The game continues in the CCTG Police Force Arena, DJ Hakeem and David Goldstein doing a friendly duel with one another.

It is still quite intense, with other members and even the Commander watching, Mr. Referee keeps an eye out for anything he needs to speak out over.

Turn 2,

Squidzilla leaves, bored without a being to fight.

DJ Hakeem has 50 Health, and 0/2 Mana Crystals

David is currently at level 2, with 30 Health, and a piece of equipment granting him +3 to his level.

It is David's turn.

Code: (Board) [Select]
DJ Hakeem 0, 50,
Mechwarper (2) 2, 3, (Reduce cost of all mechs by one, it has been cursed with "Genderbent")
Cogmaster (1) !3!, 2, (+2 Attack when a friendly mech is on the board.)
Harvest Golem (3) 3, 2, (Deathrattle - Summon a 2/1 Damaged Golem.)
Shielded Minibot (2) 2, 2, (Divine Shield, Next attack made against it deals no damage)

David Goldstein (2) 5, 30, (Halfling)

"Hm, if David were to destroy that mechwarper somehow Hakeem would have a lot less synergy in his deck to work with, and would put off several plays for another two turns or so."

"Yeah, but david needs to build up a few more levels before he can even consider destroying Mechwarper." Daxos leaned on a rail nearby, carefully watching the match.

"My money is still on David for now, if he makes it to the late game, and hits level 10, I doubt there is much in Hakeem's deck to counter a 15-something spell resistant, or even immune target."

"He has 5 attack, he could likely take out any of those minions, and with Munchkins not taking damage from attacks they have made and win, he still has a chance."

The commander says, his Duel Pauldrons shrugging.

"If he can't clear the board quick though, he is in trouble. Mech Paladin is notorious for being nigh unstoppable if the opponent cannot clear quickly."

Kyle nods solemnly.
"Indeed... I may have to shake Hakeem's hand for his incoming victory."

"I think I got a Mad Cancer laying around that I'm willing to bet.
With the, uh, track removed.
Does anyone even play Beyblade other than me around here...?"

"Dude, at least you have the proper stuff to play your own game."
Kyle casts a sidelong glance to the thuggish gardevoir to his right.
"Though, I can have a conversation with my cards, so that's nice."

"Who wants to bet? I'm betting on the old fart."

DJ Hakeem is notably perceptive of his audience.

"Heyo' listen, what you call an old fart I call a second wind, a new chance to grab life by the balls and do what I want. Be successful, go to new places and meet new people, livin' da' dream."

Because trying to stuff Fate/Whatever's engrish and the title of a 17th century book on statecraft into Pokemon syntax tends to make the content incomprehensible.

Daisuke brandishes his Bey. "I can have a conversation with this sexy piece of work any time I want. Look at its magnificence." His voice is completely deadpan.

Kyle nods. Whether it's to the Bey master or Jake is unknown.
Kyle's gardevoir looks offended at the comparison to an inanimate object.

Daisuke does a finger gun with his left hand at the Gardevoir while making clicking sounds with his mouth.

Nathan shrugs, leaning back in his chair. "It's a little too early to call it. And there are certain items in the Munchkin deck that could turn everything around... Just gotta see how it plays out." He taps a button on his belt, going through his own cards one more time. A fairly small deck, but the two heroes more than made up for it in quality. Maybe he'd look to acquire some more forms for Gaim, or some more Riders...
