Can I make a motion that for the sake of standardization we use the following generic labels to describe all card games:

Creatures - Cards that stay on the field and have a "body" containing stats such as attack and health. (Pokemon in Pokemon, Monsters in YuGiOh, Minions in Hearthstone, etc.)

Spells - Cards that lack a "body" but produce an effect. (Usually called 'Spells' in many card games but may go by other names as well.)

Items - Cards that interact by "attaching" themselves to a player or a Creature in order to alter them in someway, also oftentimes called Equipment.
I would prefer making Items or the like a subcategory of the Spell category. Apart from this small demand, I wholeheartedly agree.

I thought about that, and my main concern is that a lot of games feature cards that tamper or outright destroy Spells, whereas others focus purely on Items themselves.

Yeah, Equipment is different from spells in many cases.

I think I have the Tamagotchi breeder's Happiness mechanic sussed out, mostly.

Also:
EDIT: Also, as my character literally cannot fight back against anything bar some ridiculous bullshit, is my character permitted access to two Tamagotchi?

Well, doesn't tamagotchi have utilitarian skills from the games, as part of the training mechanic?

but yeah, sure, and if i remember correctly, they can reproduce, so you can get more that way.

Ye, that's what I was thinking.

They do have skills, but I don't want to overcomplicate a somewhat complicated situation. Anyway, the skills are Intelligence, Fashion and Kindness, and I can't be arsed to adapt that :P

Can I have a few examples of where the Skill attribute is used?

Using a fireball to light a wicker monster on fire instead of just dealing damage to it, Using polymerazation on monsters from a different system, having a monster use the scenery to it's advantage, Team attacks, basically any use of your cards that might require skill in Uncontested and Conflict matches.

If you need a specific card to win, survive, or regain the advantage, one of your monsters beating a stronger opponent or surviving an attack that they should not have, Enemy spells misfiring, like how Dark Magician got even stronger after time wizard tried to age it into utter uselessness, Just things happening that Should Not Happen, But Happen Anyway Because HEART, or getting super lucky.

More relevant question for the GM, how are things like the Extra Deck in Yu-Gi-Oh, which technically aren't in your deck but just sort of there for fusions/synchros/XYZs to come out of, handled?
If I do go Yu-Gi-Oh I'll probably go for Fluffals or D/D.
actually, question

i THINK D/D is different dimension

but the fuck is a fluffal

Fluffals are a fusion archetype. They are cute cuddly toys that then fuse with sharp things like scissors to become horrific cut up monstrosities.

Extra Deck will be unneccecary, since in the Anime, fusions, Synchros, and XYZs were kinda made up as they went along.

You can include one for Mirror Matchups however, not sure if i will allow freeform fusion in those.
