As a short overview; The match started out brutal, and turned into a meatgrinder for Kyoko. Early on though they gave as good as they got, knocking out a panzer IV via inferno (Hilariously, it was Panzer '102', no doubt a somewhat retaliatory act for their behaviour in their last match.) and taking out it's driver. This, however, would prove to be the sydney school's only casualty in a surprising break from the team's record.
As the match dragged on, the SSMW team knocked out three of the Kyoko Chi-Ha's with turret or gun hits, rendering them unable to bring their guns to bear back at the sydney team. Late in the match the Ha-Go 'Daiyousei' managed to close in with the Sydney phalanx, inflicting a not-insignificant hit to Phalanx A. In retaliation however, Panzer '101 Landed a decisive and devastating shot to the Daiyousei's ammo, not only avoiding hitting Phalanx A with it's shot, but somehow managing to ensure that it was also not damaged by the resultant blast.
The last Kyoko tank in the field, the 'Kitsune' held on for an impressive amount of time, especially considering the amount of firepower leveled at it. It took several turns of firing to finally bring it down, necessitating a shot to the fuel tank, which left it a wreck. This was the straw that ended Kyoko's courageous, if not outright insane, defiance against the sydney team.
While an outright victory for the Sydney school of mechanised warfare, the victory has been marred in allegations made by Kyoko about the team's tactics in the match, not least about the outrageous amount of tanks brought to the field (One umpire was reported to have cussed out the Sydney team's coach). While unlikely to result in any direct action against Sydney, there are report of a potential rule change in the future to cut down on the 'antics' the SSMW team used. The Kyoko team is also reported to have sent the material remains of the 'Kitsune' back to the factory, reportedly rebuilding and upgrading the tank in recognition to it's incredible resilience in the match.
