Dishonorable fools win?
Earlier today, our brave tankers went up against Sydney's School of Mechanized Warfare. In a knock down fight that had many of the student's here who watched, irate and upset. The main reason for the uproar is that SSMW used numerous tanks with unskilled crews and just enough armor that our tank's couldn't penetrate.
The match began as normal, with all of the Ha-go's moving into a foreword position. The Chi-ha's decided to split up, Rumia and Rin on the nearby hill as Yukiko and Kitsune arrived down south with the Ha-go's. additionally, Kita and Chen peeked cautiously over the small hill they had been using for cover. Upon spying it during their cautious peek, a wall of Valentine MK VII's starting to form. It was as if they had come out of the cover of the mountain on the east side of the battle ground.
The Valentines fired maliciously and Kita had its tracks blown clean off. In full view of the dishonorable tactic, the crew was ordered to abandon the now immobilized and easy to hit tank. Chen did not escape the fired rounds, causing a fire which the honorable Chinese crew put out with a practiced hand. however, the Gunner, Gau Juan, succumbed to her wounds not long after and Koakuma's gunner Okano Tomomi died from a lucky shot by a Valentine shortly after due to the amount of firepower our brave team had been forced to face.
Whilst this was going on the front lines, Rumia and Rin were far on a hilltop. They decided to take advantage of the enemy's amature positioning and opened long range fire upon them. the panzer 102 was struck, setting it alight. Unfortunately, this would be the only major damage that would be done to the dishonorable foreigners. The enemy panzers quickly maneuvered their armor to face our tanks on the hill to return fire. The Turret of Rin was blown clean off, badly injuring the gunner, Yamakawa Yuki.
Rumia tried to move off of the hill as there was no clear shot they could take deciding on a tactic toward moving to the small town near the hill. Luck was not on their side, they where hit by the full force of a shot that shredded its turret off as well. Takara Nitori was injured from the blast, suffered internal bleeding, bruised ribs, and a possible broken clavicle but luckily survived.
Yukiko and Kitsune and the Ha-go's had been hiding behind the hill when the order was given to change, the fire from the wall of tanks was almost impossible to cross, the results were that the tank Yukiko had its turret blasted off. The gunner, Sugai Yasumu, was caught up in the turret blast, dying instantly.
During the charge to break through the enemy lines, Koakuma was taken out whilst Chen was mere feet from the line, got blasted. Fortune opened an eye that time. The captain Yi Chen and the driver Zhong Lanying managed to get out. The single tank to make it through the line, Daiyousei, got up close to Phalanx A and stopped dead next to it. With a deliberate pause, it fired a shot, brutalizing the enemy crew. It wasn't even seconds later that Daiyousei and crew were destroyed from a shot from one of the enemy's panzers.
Throughout the whole match, this panzer with the other's bravely hid like a conscript behind the wall of Valentines. All of Daiyousei's crew, Watanabe Komachi, Nishi Azusa, and Hayashida Tooka perished in the explosion. Their sacrifice will be remembered with reverence and honor. The last functional tank, Kitsune, miraculously withstood the fire of ten Valentines and three panzers . They rolled a hail mary pass and managed to shoot three times before it expired and exploded like a firework. It's crew, Raikatuji, Ichisada, and Shunsen were unable to escape the fiery doom.
The screaming din of abuse that was sending a large number of tanks with poorly skilled crewmen out as cannonfodder or "Zombie Tanks" as one of the crewmen in the panzers said over the radio earned itself large amounts of criticism. The headmaster Sakura Kyoko herself has stated that "These dishonorable, disheveled, dimly deined dopes who are deserving of nothing less than digging their own ditch, proves how maliciously low some people in the world will go. They and their crew will be shown no quarter in the future."
after which she sent a report petitioning the board to change the rules so this affront to the very nature of dignified warfare will never happen again. The good women who sacrificed themselves this day will be remembered and their names will be placed in the hall of fallen heroes. The survivors will receive civilian time for rest and recuperation after the horrors they had experienced.
Our hearts are to the family's and loved ones of the newly deceased. The school's headmaster plans to visit and fund all the funerals expenses.
