Well i could always order a robot hack someones bank account use that money to buy it hack myself into said robot then use said melee weapon.

"If you could do that, why haven't you done it already?"

((Rei's name actually means 'zero', if my memory serves me correctly... and now I kinda want to watch the Rebuild movies again.))

"We could get him a Chinese-made robot body for cheap."

((I actually just looked it up, and its apparently a super-clever choice. Depending on the kanji used, it can mean "Ghost", "Zero", "black, dark, many", and is also Hebrew for "my shepherd; my companion; my friend" originating from biblical text. I don't know what kanji they used, the zero one would be 零 while the ghost one would be 霊.))

We could, but at that point I would be invested in keeping him around. Part of the reason he is here is to give me options, and him being free makes that a lot easier. Dropping money on a robot, even a cheap one, makes that a bit harder. Maybe if it is super-cheap it will be worth it.

"Yes, that is an option we can look into. I will search my contacts for a melee-oriented combat robot when we have the time and extra creds lying around."

I could always hack some random persons braincase though that can be extremely annoying also yuri is a form of girl love commonly between animated cartoon or anime characters in fanfiction yurei is different.

I just told him I worked in Japan, didn't I? I speak enough of the language to know what is going on.

"So your name is about ghost-girls falling in love? Really says a lot about you that you don't go by a nickname. Anyway, trying to rely on hacking braincases as a first resort isn't a bright idea. If it didn't work here, it won't work there. It wouldn't put you in a good position to perform melee combat anyway."

((We'll just assume that one of you brought the van over, shall we? Also, not a big update since nothing much has happened.))

As Ken plays the part of black market Santa, giving everyone their weapons and other assorted goodies, the pilot uses an old and rather beat up loader bot to put the crates into the van. To Ken's offer to clean up the body he replies without so much as looking up from his tablet.

"Nah, it's okay. We'll load him up and throw him into the ocean from the plane. Nobody is going to miss him."

The loader bot grabs the dead man's foot and slowly but surely drags him into the airplane. The door to the plane's cargo hold closes with a loud thunk, and that's another mess cleaned up.

"Great. Then we are done here. Lets return to base, we need to get the shipment somewhere safe before finding buyers."

Ken takes shotgun of the van, motioning for the others to get in.

Ryker takes the wheel and waits until Sharp gets in. He'll then drive to wherever Ken wants him to.

"On the subject of hacking braincases... If I can have access to an unconscious body for a day or two, I could probably compromise the braincase so that it's easier to hack."

Get in da van.

The team gets into the van, with Ken and Ryker in getting in the front seats and Sharp sitting in the back with the cargo. Ryker drives the van to Ken's base op operations, a warehouse in the old industrial district. Their route takes them about an hour, skirting along the outside of the slums. The building itself is not much more than a concrete brick with a large gate and a smaller gate at the back when seen from the outside. A perfectly typical warehouse for holding something nice and legal, like banana's or cheap cornflakes. The less casual observer may notice that the gate seems particularely sturdy. Ken has made quite some modifications to the warehouse in the time he's been operating from it.

((...Do we have a base set, or are we holed up in a hotel or something?))
((Welcome to your new home, a nice ugly warehouse. You can fill in how you did the interior within reason. No solid golden statues of yourself that shoot lasers.))

((Eh, Ken would probably keep it simple. Hollow gold statues of himself that shoot bullets. A couch and a couple of stuffed chairs in the main portion, around a cheap TV. A couple of bunk beds along one side of the wall, and a computer/desk in a corner. With a cheap carpet covering the cement. On one side, there would be a separate room for actual storage, with a decent lock system to keep out anyone who managed to get this far. Probably a keybad, if that isn't too much. The storage room would be simple cement, with a series of lockers and gun-safes along the near wall for everyone to store their personal equipment and clothing. On the other side would be two more rooms. The smaller is a simple bathroom, complete with sink and shower, looking clean if not particularly comfortable. The larger room would be Ken's personal office. It would have a simple lock, more for privacy's sake than for defense. There would be a black-stuffed chair in the middle, looking newer and more expensive than the ones in the main room. In front of it would be a businesslike bench, hiding tools for cleaning, maintaining, and repairing weapons. The room would have simple-businesslike wallpaper, and thicker more expensive carpets. One corner has a large safe, for Ken's personal equipment. A sleeping bag can usually be found here, so he doesn't have to sleep where crazy people might cut him up in his sleep. There wouldn't be any windows, instead having large projections from outside security cameras where you would expect windows to be (...If I can have security cameras). The lighting for the main portion would be industrial-style, like an actual warehouse, with more businesslike lighting for the office. No kitchen, seeing as how nobody probably knows how to cook. I think that covers everything.

Simple, see :p.))

Seems good, very reasonable. Since we are in 2084, you can add a server and upgrade the computer to something more meaty. Also laptops/tablets for everyone. Along with the actual server there's also a dummy server or two, for when you want to hack. Gotta have proxies so you don't fry your brain/whatever you're using to hack when they launch a counterattack.

Otherwise you're good to go. Merchandise can be assumed to have been stored in the safes. You're set to start doing business, it seems.

Ryker sits down on the couch, grabs his laptop and checks the news for anything interesting. Knowing what's happening in the world is always good.
