Ryker sits down on the couch, grabs his laptop and checks the news for anything interesting. Knowing what's happening in the world is always good.
You open up the 24 hour news and the latest global news stories start popping up on the screen.
"Shang Wei international to introduce their new line of consumer limbs replacements."
"Japanese company to offer organs grown inside of pigs using the customers DNA. If organs are not used in the pig's lifetime, the customer can opt to sell the organs to hospitals to retrieve part of their investment."
"Anti-transhumanist religions are on the rise throughout the world. Only recently, a group of 10 anti-transhumanist zealots committed suicide in Times Square by dousing themselves in gasoline and putting themselves on fire."
"The terrorist organisation 'God's apostles' have attacked another transport heading for the space station. Three people and about 2.3 million credits in hardware for the station were lost. The attackers have fled the scene and have not yet been found."
"The pope visited Texas yesterday. The police arrested 65 people for causing unrest, protesting, loitering and excessive selfie taking."
"European think tanks have had breakthrough in augment technology. Their research may result in artificial limbs and organs that are better quality and cheaper to manufacture."
"Our reporter went on an exclusive trip to Australia. An interview with the locals gives a unique insight. 'Life's gotten pretty good mate. Too bad some scientists let augmented spider get out into the wild.', a local man told us."

"This is a nice place you have here. Who did you get it from?"

"Do you know of any surgeons that we can trust?"

"Mr. Nunya. He owns a large business he inherited from his father, who inherited it form his father and so on and so forth. They are really more of a corporation at this point, but they keep the name Nunya Business out of respect, and to keep a family focused image. I bought the warehouse from him, all the guns, your custom arm, and will no doubt be making large purchases from him until the day I end up feeding fishes."

I'm not about to give one of my contacts away, even for something as small as property purchases. He really should understand my secrecy at this point. He seems like the kind of guy who would murder someone for knowing something half as important as this...

"And I will check my contacts for someone who can put you under the knife. I usually try to keep in touch with the local doctors in the case of injury, I will have to see if any are willing to add an arm for cheap."

Ken strolls over to his office, unlocking the door and entering wordlessly, locking the door behind him. He sits at his desk, putting his laptop in front of him and a headpiece connected to his phone where you would expect it to go. He then searches his contacts for black market doctors who can do cheap, decent quality augmentative surgery for several minutes. After completing that, he moves on to the more important task of searching for contacts willing to purchase weapons, preferably in large amounts for good prices.

Anti-transhumanism and religious extremism. Terrorism. Australia.

... The world is still as crapsack as always.

His curiosity about the world's state sated for now, Ryker'll do maintenance on his guns.

In the main room, Ryker is sitting at a makeshift table with his guns and cleaning instruments laid out in front of him. Taking his two guns apart and expertly cleaning them and putting them back together, he makes sure they aren't going to malfunction any time soon. As he is busy cleaning, one of the tablets that is resting on the arm rest of the sofa blinks to life, with a small cartoon knight stepping onto the screen. Yuurei then looks for any interesting bodies to attempt to get. There aren't any in this building, but a quick search of the net brings up a multitude of neat things. There's cheap chinese full body prostethics that look like a featureless human body. There's American and Japanese ones with varying degrees of uncanny valley. There's also more...exotic options. Industrial loaders with tracks and gripping arms that can crush steel, small helicopter drones with guns, speciality sex bots with too many tentacles by any sane standard. It seems that the sky is the limit when you're a ghost without a shell. Now all Yuurei needs is to actually find one that's nearby, unless he wants to end up in a body half a world away.

In his office, Ken is looking up his old contacts. He still has quite a few black market doctors in his adress book, but only one of them lives within driving distance. Sebastian Sharps, once a plastic surgeon for the rich and beautiful in beverly hills, now a back alley doctor. Despite his former field, Ken knows that his skills are up for the job.
Next he looks for potential buyers, focusing on those who want to buy bulk and aren't too stingy with their credits. Mailing some go-betweens and looking at some deep net forums, he picks a few likely customers.
The "God's apostles" are looking for a large amount of weapons and explosives, no reason stated and full market price offered upon delivery.
A local branch of a prostethics corporations is also looking for large batches of weapons on the down low. THey state the reason is because of "tensions with rival corporations". They offer 10% of market value up front, with the other 90% to be delivered upon receiving the goods. An extra note states that they are willing to offer extra's if they are allowed to do test runs with the weapons first.
Lastly, a gang named the "crazy bees" is looking for a cache of weapons. Reason stated is "turf war". They are offering 75% of market value upon delivery, with the remaining 25% to be made up for in natura products and services to be rendered in the future.

Research who the God's Apostles are. If I can do a minor time skip, go to Dr. Sharps and get my arm upgraded (replace my natural arm with the fancy new one).

Between terrorists, corporations, and gangs, the corporations are likely the safer bet. They tend to have a vested interest in keeping the collateral damage low, pragmatically more damage costs more to clean up. Additionally, they are nearly guaranteed to have funds and be willing to transfer them, as fellow businessmen. Terrorists and gangsters are just as likely to try shooting us and taking our stuff as paying. Our main threat would be the rival corporation, financially they may not be willing to deal with us in the future if they discover we are selling to their enemies. Physically, they would be better off shooting and capturing the shipment to cut off enemy supply lines. If we hold a meeting at a third location, we should be secure enough. The extra funds are attractive too, I have faith in the quality of my weapons. They should perform well under testing conditions.

Make an appointment for Sharp with the Good Doctor Sharps (...wonder if they are related? :p)), then take the job with the corporation. Try to set up a meeting for the weapons transfer and any negotiations in a place not related to either party.

Yuurei looks into the availability of the various bodies. The biggest problem with the normal looking bodies seems to be that they only get connected to the net once they are switched on, usually when they put someone's brain in there. His only way to get one that is to either buy one himself or to find one that is connected but without a brain for some reason. The industrial bots are easier, since they usually do not contain a brain. They also aren't connected to the global network though, so you'd either need to plug in a cord into one directly or get inside of their companies network somehow. As for enhancing his capabilities, the industrial bot or a specialized body would work well with the melee. A speciality companion bot or body would probably aid in charming people.
The tentacles are some kind of synthetic muscle, overlayed with various kinds of skin or plating. They're very flexible and slightly stronger than normal human muscle. Very flexible, these things slither around like nobodies business.

Sharp looks into the God's apostles. Not terribly much is known about the inner workings of the organization, only that they vehemetly oppose the 1% who live on space station Eden. They exlusively target people and corporations directly linked with Eden. Their methods are brutal and they certainly don' tmind killing, but so far no member has been caught alive.
After Ken sets up a meeting with Doctor Sharps, Sharp heads out to get his new arms replaced. He comes up to a rather nondescript looking building not overly far from the warehouse Ken is holed up in. A rather effeminate man with a crazy purple mohawk opens the door.

"Ooh, baby, you must be Ken's buddy! It's too bad little old Ken didn't come with you, I would have loved to see him again! Those cheeckbones of his? Mph! To die for."
He beckons you inside and you follow. There's a lot of flowers and pastel colours in his clinic. The operating table, and all the robotic arms and instruments, are all hot pink.
"Tell me baby, what can Spicy Sharps do for you?"

Ken, meanwhile, sends the corporation an encrypted message that he accepts their job. Almost immediatly, he is invited to a virtual conference room. He quickly routes through his two proxy servers before connecting a wire from his pc into his neck slot. His virtual avatar materializes in a very typical conference room. A very typical looking business man stand at the other side.

"Please, I know this is but a virtual space, but do sit down."
Ken does so, no reason not to.
"To business then. What are the wares you are offering and how quickly can you get it to this adress? Time is rather of the essence."
The man touches the table on his end, and a screen materializes in front of Ken's avatar with an adress. It's a corporate plot with multiple buildings. Ken's conservative estimate is that it would take them about two hours to get there by van.

"I'd like to replace my right arm with this one. I've heard that you're capable of performing the procedure."

Get my arm replaced. Stop ATH from getting access to the tentacle body at all costs.

"Up to one-fifty assault rifles, one hundred sub-machine guns, fifty shotguns, and two hundred sidearms. If you are going a little heavier, up to seventy five hand grenades and fifty under-barrel grenade launchers. Everything comes with as much ammunition as requested, limited to 75 for the launchers. For delivery, it will likely take between two and three hours to load your order up and have it at your doorstep. Augmentations are also available, but they aren't particularly quick, and I imagine your company can handle itself on that front. Sights, laser sights, and suppressors are available for any of the above in limited supply, and if necessary will be added as requested during transit."

If time isn't on their side, its possible they expect us to go in hot. Its not as safe as I hoped, it would have been better to ask to meet at a different location, but that would limit the speed at which we can get there. I might have to charge extra if we end up having to shoot somebody. On the other hand, them needing it right at this moment means I have much more bargaining power. It would probably take longer than that to find another dealer at this point, after all.

Stop ATH from getting access to the tentacle body at all costs.
((How though? That action is terribly vague, for one. I also fail to see how your character, currently undergoing surgery, knows what ATH's character is doing back at the base.))

Sharp gets into the surgery chair after taking off his shirt. Doctor Sharps walks into view, now wearing bright pink scrubs and a mouth mask with a cartoon smile on it.
"All right, one new arm coming right up, baby! Just relax and let yourself drift away. When you wake up, you'll have a shiny new arm!"
The doctor sits down at a terminal and plugs the cord into his neck slot. Sharp feels a prick in your arm as you are injected with anastethic. As he drifts away, he sees the 8 robotic surgery arms whirr into life.
An undefined amount of time later, Sharp wakes up, feeling rather cold, having a headache and his shoulder feels like hell. Looking over, he sees his new arm attached, with the place where the metal and the skin comes together very nicely done.
"All done, baby! You'll have to wait an hour or so before you've got full function of it, but since we were working off of healthy nerves the process of getting accustomed should go easy peasy!"

Meanwhile, back in the base, Yuurei is trying get a, ahem, "charming tentacle body". After much searching, the best approximation of that kind of thing he comes up with a modified full body prostethic usually used in '"companion model" robots, with the arms replaced with two tentacles that end in five smaller gripper tentacles. Total cost: about 120.000 credits. He tries to start up a kickstarter, asking random people on the internet to give him money for this. Unfortunately, it fails to gain much traction, only gathering about 10000 credits from a group of hardcore tentacle fetishists.

Some time later in the day, Sharp arrives back at the base.

Still in the virtual conference room, Ken lays out for the corp representative what his shipment contains.
"You are correct, the augmentation are quite meaningless to us. As for the rest, we would have preferred a more homoginous inventory, but this mishmash of weapon types will serve our purpose admirably I think. We'll take the lot, excepting the augmentations. Name your price."

((GM NOTE:I'm currently working on something for school and also doing a lot of back and forth to get my internship sorted out, so I can't promise updates for the next few days. Or they might be tiny.

Also, do you guys mind me not putting the results of rolls in? I've rolled a fair number of times now, but I haven't put the results in because I feel like it breaks the flow of the text.

Also also, @ATHATH: if you still wanted to ask questions to the docotr or something feel free to, I just added you arriving back to base in case you wanted to move along. ))
