@Reelya: So would you say the names that mean opposite things with an "in-" on are Darth Eligible?

But there aren't two names to a Darth.

Also if we held to this we couldn't do Darth Binks...

Star Wars is supposed to break the all-time domestic box office record some time tomorrow.

Well that's good.

Seems a bit silly for Lucas to have sold the rights as cheaply as he did. Almost made it back with the one film.

It's a small price to pay to see a Mickey-Yoda battle in a Kingdom Hearts game.

Let's be honest, pretty much anything would be a small price for that.

Consider how quickly they got their shit together once Lucas was no longer running the show, then consider whether Lucas could have pulled this off and not another Phantom Menace. There's also the fact that he's 70.

At present, I need to see the other (upcoming) films to determine whether this one was any good. They don't tie anything up in this ones.

Indeed, I'm left with more questions!

BTW, check out the deal Lucas cut with Disney. It wasn't all cash, it was for $2 billion in cash plus 40 million Disney shares, making him one of their biggest shareholders, so he still shares in the profits.

Anyway, he's old and has billions of dollars in cash. Having more billions isn't going to make his life any better. The decision he made was more about the future of the Lucasfilm company than it was about making a profit. If they left Lucasfilm as an independent then they could have real problems with leadership in the future after George Lucas dies.

Just got back from seeing the movie. I hope they flesh out the backstory in the upcoming films (but worry they won't). I thought Finn was more interesting then Rey, and was a bit sad about how it turned out.

So you are telling me is that it was directed by JJ Abrams?

Just watched the movie again ( the exciting bits anyway ) and I just noticed that Rey brings her 2x4 bo staff along with her to see Luke.  Here's to hoping that she converts the thing into a light-staff, or oddly proportioned double bladed lightsaber, seeing as how she has much more experience using it.
