Yeah, but then there's another issue with rolling; you could plan the perfect murder, and then roll a one. And even if you rolled, how would you decide what evidence there'd be?

How else would they earn money with the problems some of the have?

By working at the school in one of the many student jobs? There's positions in the library, gym, student store, Arena... Lots of chances to make money if you really need to.

I'm not even sure why the premise remains as a bloody highschool of all possibilities.

Because I asked if people were interested in something different and everyone went 'eh'. Then I jokingly floated around the idea of a shitty anime highschool RP and everyone was for it. So what did you think I did?

Or a Kamen Rider/Super Sentai-esque setting, with Monsters of the Week and all, since we seem to like fighting so much?

Both very good ideas which I'd do if anybody was interested in. Or something with giant robots or whatever.

It's more that nobody's bothering to come up with the interesting ones or the interesting ones just die.

Let's come up with an interesting game then. I am more than willing to GM it if people were interested in it. I've got tons of ideas here just waiting to burst out. So let's do something about it instead of sitting around and complaining.

Spoiler: General Overview of my Ideas (click to show/hide)

• Magicial Spambot Girls #2: You are advanced AI designed to transverse the internet and sell stuff to people. Pretty much a dungeon crawler but set in the distant future and takes place in the internet.
• Giant Robot Setting: Exactly what it sounds like. I've got at least two new ideas (one based on the ERF and set in Motya's universe and the other completely new and based on biological machines) as well as several previous, failed settings that can be reused (the CFI is the first to come to mind).
• Murder Mystery: It is the future and everyone is in the same clan on some online game. For mysterious reasons, one of the players is bumping off everyone in the clan one by one. Unsure about who the killer is, the PCs must meet up in the physicial world and collect clues to solve the mystery. But the killer could easily be any one of them, biding their time until their next murder.
• Police Procedurals: I have at least two in me. Both involve being the secret police, oddly enough, but they both have different tones and window dressing so I'll consider them to be separate.
• Space Exploration: Everyone is on a spaceship or a fleet of spaceships. The goal? To go bravely where nobody has gone before. Or go where people have gone before and make a killing in profits. Or... Lots of things. It's something that can be easily made and adapted to what you guys want.

Anyways. The point is: What kind of games would you consider interesting and want to play instead of shitty anime highschool #42? Because I will make it work if you really want it.
