Is the ethics code still broken? I mean the thing earlier in 0.42, when the correct ethics tokens still didn't allow you to butcher sapients.

Is it a known situation that there's no butchering of sapients in fortress mode anymore?  My orcs still have the appropriate ethics, as far as i know, and they butchered invaders and Animal-men in DF2014

Migrants and caravans still come with, say, Monarch Butterflyman Chitin Shoes, but I haven't seen them process anybody on site.

Seems that's just a bug throughout the game at the moment. adventurers and fort dwarves can't use or butcher corpses of sapient creatures, even though bits of them show up on occasion as clothes. I found a grizzly bear man leather hood, for instance.

I want a creature's bite to light things on fire. I've tried changing the temperature of the teeth and it didn't have any effect on anything at all. How do I do this?

Might work. According to the wiki, if you make an extract that lacks ENTERS_BLOOD, it will instead spatter over the targeted bodypart when used with an inject special attack. If it's very hot...

...it won't actually burn because the temperature of splatters is ignored. I found that out the hard way. :(

The venoms syndrome could cause pain, blistering, and mild blood loss...

Although, you could use a material emission that can only be used in melee range and depends on the creatures' mouth being functional.

I definitely made a creature inject magma (by mistake; declared the venom wrong and it defaulted to some kind of liquid rock) in a DF2012 or DF2014 mod and it would indeed have the effect you might expect from red hot liquid rock in the bloodstream.

Huh. So it has to inject the stuff. Alright, thanks.

EDIT: It seems I stand corrected: it doesn't ignore temperature, it just won't light things on fire? Molten iron is definitely above flesh's ignite point, yet the test subject doesn't ever catch fire, he just melts.

That sounds about right, although, I think if the molten dwarf is still hot enough it can combust the surroundings.

I think anything that cannot be equipped by the new form is dropped. Someone may want to confirm this, though.

"walkable building" search turns up nothing, so I'm asking here: Is it possible to mod buildings to provide walkable surface to level they're on or to the level above, similar to the way bridges provide it?

A reason to ask: Flying Fortress seems like a cool idea extremely fitting for fantasy, but just because dwarf can sit on top of a raised bridge doesn't make it not "open space" - and thus, unpathable for pathfinding.

(Drinking water and eating apples could work, but is kind of threadbare existence.)
