Are people agreed on the Imperial Rifle Mod B?

I suppose so.
I also hope the Dice Gods will favour us and our bold project.

yes. when we tried to make the overly complex rifle , we all knew it had to be revised.

As for espionage, I am very tempted to go after the dunwich canister. a canister shot with such range mean we can outrange the enemy on a canister shot. it would be great.

edit: dice gods, if you help us I promise I'll make the players of my pathfinder campaigns suffer.

Question : Can spies do other things than (attempt to) steal stuff. I wonder if we could do some sabotage.

Quote
Imperial Rifle M1. 1 Mod B
Replacing the percussion-caps with the tried and true flintlock system was simple enough. The attempted fix of the rest was something else entirely. Some combination of the rifling and the new batch casting causes regular blockages in the barrel, requiring specialist attention to fix, assuming the mechanism didn't get destroyed. Whilst the breechblock is now durable enough to be of use, it can sometimes damage the paper cartridge which makes the weapon even more likely to misfire. Overall this weapon requires extensive caution to use and must be cleaned after each shot to prevent the weapon from becoming more dangerous to the user than the enemy.(Very Expensive)

Tech Used
Breechloading [Complex]
Rifling [Complex]
16mm Soft-Lead Shells

Again, your rolls sucked. At least the weapon can be fielded now, although you probably wouldn't want to.

Question : Can spies do other things than (attempt to) steal stuff. I wonder if we could do some sabotage.
Yes, it is possible to sabotage enemy production or their war focus actions.

That is pretty inconvenient.

At least it'll become cheaper over time.

But it won't become less broken.

Again, requesting permission to shoot the engineers.

I propose we steal the Victoria II air gun this turn, and revise the rifle next turn.

I propose we leave the rifle be next turn, let the tech get cheap, and do something innovative. Rifles are cursed.

Edit : As for espionage. How about we do some sabotage to support our landing, rather than stealing something.

At least with it in production the technology behind it will get easier to use, until hopefully the original version becomes workable sometime.

For Espionage, I'd prefer to steal the rotary musket that the Fort made up last turn, to get something that is actually producable that can counter the air rifles rate of fire.

No. I suppose there are similarities, but I'm fairly certain angry birds doesn't let me charge into a battalion of knights with a car made of circular saws.

Their rotary musket is basically puckle gun iirc. Might get us some bonus when we end up making revolvers or something, and with proper revision we could use it as an early, weak as hell machinegun that could be mounted on our ships for whatever reasons.

Which reminds me, we need anti-aircraft (well, Sensei did said he'd join the first faction with hot air balloons) weaponry. I propose we use rockets for this.
Or maybe we should revise the wool uniform to include an single small balloon with British flag painted on it for glory. Imagine it, lines of infantrymen with balloons floating over them, causing perfect distraction because who would shoot a man when he can shoot a balloon and hear it pop.

EDIT:
In case it's not clear - I am in favour of stealing the whatever the rotary gun was called.

woah. the first one was bad-ish, but this one is terrible! Pity, a breechloader at this stage would have been quite the wunderwaffe.
at this point, I am ready to call this a loss and try to design a whole new rifle in the future, although next round I had planned a bomb ketch.

and yes, lets get that rotary musket. better than nothing.

edit: atterton is still in design....

I really think we should simply revise the bombketch from our Dover-class ship.

But for espionage, I support stealing their rotary musket.
