I am not sure we would be able to do it well.
For one, we have a brig, not a ketch. So it would be a bomb brig.

But also, bomb ketches needed to have masts moved to avoid interfering with the mortar and the hulls reinforced to withstand the recoil from the big cannons. when you are manking so many changes to the hull, you have a new ship.

I support stealing the rotary gun with espionage.  It sucks we messed up both revision and design.

For our landing, we need to land deep in either sides territory to avoid the bulk of their forces and actually have a chance at succeeding the landing.

Both brigs and ketches have only 2 masts.

On a side note, considering we just made the bullets cheaper when redesigning it, does that mean it's no longer theoretical but merely a national effeort?

In that case, we can use our production focus on it and get rapid tech cheapening.

indeed, it should be a national effort. I think.

our bullets had some problems with the rifling, but I am not sure if it is going to be ported to the older design.

I wouldn't oppose spending a focus on it, if it gets us tech faster.

I think its just very expensive, actually... Letssee... Two complex techs and a normal tech...

Next turn we probably will want to spend the revision trying to work out the final kinks in breachloading and rifling. Provided whatever we design works right.

We knocked one thing down a level,a dn removed another thing, which removed two levels of complexity. It went from theoretical to very expensive as a result.

the revision is very expensive, yes. The revision is also significantly worse than the original. The original was barely useable, so the revision is basically junk.

the design version is now a national effort. It is bad, but I think somewhat workable.

And when we want a working rifle, I suggest we spend a design on it, because this looks like unsalvageable.

Well, if the design version is now a national effort, that means that it being in production will make all the tech we put in it more available and easier to use, so in the long term I count this as a win, speaking for myself.

National effort is only in production if we focus on it.

Edit : On a side note, we might want to focus on something to boost our industry for next turn. Can't let the enemy get too far ahead.
