people dont punch alanis out of avarice or disagreement

The only thing capable of getting her to stop/slow the ranting is a swift pop to the jaw or a full on intervention from the SO.

Much like a vegan, but with nihilistic philosophy rather than glorified vegetarianism.

It does tend to distort the attention of what's going on towards bickering with Alanis for the hundredth time, ESPECIALLY if being disagreed with in the wrong way sends her into a full on breakdown. It's repetitive (from what I've seen reading the whole darn thread :V)

Honestly though, I don't think what happened most recently will happen again.

Because it was basically Tourmaline saying "You're worthless" followed by Aesford saying "Yo shut up about this you do not get to talk about it at all" that basically left her no outlet.

Well, definition of insanity, Alanis seems to expect a different result from repeated ramblings, even when almost every method has been employed to stop the baseless accusations of fictionality.

Again, I'm keeping it to OOC, but Alanis is not high on my list of favorite characters for ruining immersion seemingly for the lulz.

I just have the sense to know that in character, None of my Characters really give approximately 12 shits, a rock shit and a divine shit respectively.

Except maybe Fouradon, but that is because he hates everything and everyone.

Alanis has had the metacharacteristics practically rubbed in her face a lot, let alone the blatant parallels.

They aren't baseless but they change the timbre of the game in a way that noone wants.
We all KNOW that it's a fictional game, but we're trying to keep up immersion here and at least for the largest part we don't want it to have zero fourth wall because that completely annihilates willing suspension of disbelief and makes it harder to enjoy the characters.

rfegardless of alanis being correct or not, it does hurt character development and player interaction wit h her forgone metaknowledge of everything about everyone and makes everything less fun as a result

You are supposed to ignore or retcon things that strain immersion, not Exacerbate them.

This is real simple stuff.

Also, maybe 12 times you got the old Ceace&Desist card in OOC and IC.

Poking holes in things and being super meta to the point of edgyness contributes very little and makes several people upset IC and OOC.

Absolutely nothing would be lost if every single conversation about Meta BS were retconed from the game aside from one piece of loot, which is a paltry sum if you ask me.

What part of this does not click? I am sure I can come up with some way to explain to you how irritating this is on levels that near being difficult to imagine.

In Dackly's Source material, Meta jokes are made all the time, and I never have Dackly make them. Because I just know Alanis will jump down Dackly's throat if she is in earshot.
