Overarching Power Level seems pointless without actual interactions with the abilities. Yes, they could be higher level, but without an actual effect FOR being higher level, you basically get a prettier lightshow with no actual effect in combat.

Make Something Up is fair enough, but I would increase the amount of times he needs to memorize the pattern to three uses. Unless I'm wrong, Alan's not exactly in possession of an eidetic memory.

They have more potential force to them.

And level ups aren't, theoretically, being handed out like candy, this represents the practice needed to, say, make sawblades out of kinetic force, or search for electrical currents, or something.

I Think They call This FIREBALL+: I shoot a ball of fire at my opponent, this explodes applying the 'on Fire' effect, doing 2D6 Damage, and applying the stunned effect on them.

Okay. Considered upgrades a bit more:

Nanomachines Lv. 1 (passive): Inexplicably able to maintain lines of communication between himself and other party members, even if separated by time and space. Also heals for 1HP per round of combat - so long as he didn't incur damage in that round - increased immunity to status effects, and increased RES (+1 per level)

Will become:

Nanomachines Lv. 2 (passive): As Lv. 1, but heals 2HP per round of combat, increases Res +2, further increased immunity to status effects (I'd like to be more specific about that, GMs. What would be a reasonable percentage chance to not get a status effect?) and increases initiative by +1 (faster reflexes)

And:

Focus (Ranged) Lv. 1: Takes time to aim for weaknesses. Attacks last in the round, but 10% increase in critical chance.

Will become:

Focus (Ranged) Lv. 2: Attacks last in the round, 20% increase in critical chance.
