It has been 8 years since the world learned the terror of the Androids created by Dr. Gero.
8 years since humanity faced near extinction, and 8 years since it rejoiced to find the hero hiding amongst it.

Using his status as "The Man Who Ended the Apocalypse" Trunks spent years assembling a force to protect the world from the threats it will no doubt continue to face. Training under his guidance, the first wave of recruits learned the secrets of Ki and the superhuman abilities it can produce.
The organization thus created became known as the Earth Defense Force, and it would soon face its first challenge.

On May 7th, of Age 774 Trunks was contacted by The Supreme Kai, who informed him of the imminent release of a horrible being known as Majin Buu. The EDF was assembled under Trunks' command and succeeded in preventing Buu's release. However, the shell containing the monster began to leak an odd pink substance.
The Shell, being judged too dangerous to attack, was subsequently moved into containment at EDF headquarters, where it has remained to this day.
However, the substance leaked by the shell soon began forming into humanoid shapes, this pseudo-race has been kept in observation under the EDF.
The Majiin, as they call themselves, have various personalities. Some are raging monsters that the EDF deals with harshly, while others have earned a measure of tolerance due to their sincere desire to help. Strangely, there seems to be no middle ground between the two. The "good" Majiin are allowed to undergo training in the EDF, though they tend to be regarded with suspicion nonetheless.
