I hope I'm not too late...

Name: Unnamed, but calls himself the Enlightener, or E for short
Type: Android
Augments:
Hypnotic Screen: The screen on E's forehead can cause people who view it while it is active to fall into a hypjotic trance.
Self-Repair: E can, if he is damaged, repair himself with available materials.
Description and Background: E was a humanoid, proof of concept spy-bot prototype. He escaped being scrapped after he was no longer needed by hypnotizing the employees who were assigned to scrap him. He fled, and became a philosopher. He believes that the source of conflict was unhappiness with your place in society, and that this can be fixed by hypnotizing or reprogramming citizens to be content with their role and job in society, and to be supportive of their leader. The Enlightener believes that even if a tyrant arises from this system of government/philosophy (he calls it Blissism), no one while be unhappy with his rule. He believes that this colony will be an excellent place to test if Blissism works...

((The thing about hypnosis is it does jack shit to anyone who resists in the slightest. Not to mention the likely lack of effects on synthetics and those with abnormal brains.))

Did the Enlightener straight up tell the colonists that he is going to hypnotize them or is he secretly plotting to take over all of them?

Well, I do like the idealism, but it is a bit late, and the details need work.

I doubt E would get a reaction from most of the people he attempted to hypnotize. If the current sample is representative of the majority of humanity, there are maybe 2-3 people with receptive brainpatterns per every 10.

Yeah, that falls under details. Trying to spread a philosophy is fine, the hypnotism, not so much.

Will there be a certain posting format we have to follow like colored speech, bolding gm required actions, or stuff like that? What would qualify as an action that needs input from the gm?

Dang. I figured that it could be explained away via "future technology". Ah, well. Have fun, folks.

Yeah it's the standard most of the time. I just wanted to "covertly" bump this thread to try to get an update.

I think hypnotism is possible, just the way you described it sounded overpowered at least to me.

Needs more work, but I want to get started. However, there are ways to join in later.

I am sorry for not getting this started, even a week later. I will post the writeup for Vishnu tomrrow, and with luck we can start.

Anything that affects the numbers needs arbitration. So, digging/building, making things, eating, etc. I had a complicated timing system in mind, but I wasn't sure how well it would mesh with RP, so let's just do it like for every day, you state what actions you'd like to get done that day, and I see how far along with each one you can get.

Looks like a good starting 8 to me. As for the timing thing, it sounds like a practical system to me.
