"Alan, ya know whut? You're not gonna get nobody if you continue tah be like that. Also, ah puh-romise to help withou' no mahnd control. Kapeesh?"

Alan facepalms.
"No comment.  And could you have picked a more awkward time to bludgeon people over the head with relationship advice, by any chance?"
Alan makes various shooing motions.

Shen leaves to put his cello up. After a few moments, he returns and begins to head to lunch.

"Well, if ah stepped in when you wuh' like, doing the do, or if you wuh' pooping. But ah-nestly, ah ah-nestly wahnt tah help. Puh-lease let me try. If ah fail, it's on me."

E:Solution, maybe? Lieselotte simply isn't paying attention to Alan talking to Teresha, being too busy processing the implications.  Alternatively, distracted by navigation?
Or, Teresha only catches up to Alan after they arrive and the conversation ends for the moment.  I favor the latter over the former.))

We're told there is some distance between the cafeteria and the dorm anyway.

Departure from dorm to cafeteria, Alan and Lieselotte talk,  Teresha goes back to the dorm, continued Alan and Lieselotte talking, everyone arrives, more talking, Lieselotte goes for food (or Alan does), Teresha intercepts Alan, they talk, then any other conversation.
