What are the acceptable electives? I'm getting mixed signals here and there are WAY too few electives listed for a four elective requirement.

I'll pull them up.  But note that making something up is fair game so far, as is any GCSE that isn't already a core course.. (And really the only history course you can't claim as being elective is literally the word History on your electives list.  Pick any specific subject course and you're probably good.)
Also, taking two of a core course is a thing some people do.

Elective:
Art(s)
Music (which might meet outside of the school day)
Computer Science
IT
DT
Engineering

Art can expand into, and probably does expand into, 2D, 3D, Digital...Etc.
I agree.  Four out of this is a bit too much.  And then there's an extra core course.

Boom. History is now European History. Although I'm getting worried that we're getting too fiddly with the course choices here: I refuse to start flipping my course choices back and forth if it gets to quibbling.
