Background: Born the sixth child to a family of free men under a Lord's employ as clothiers, Thale had a simple albeit busy childhood. Helping his parents and other relatives in their day-to-day activities was an obligation, though he was given mostly menial tasks. He would most likely not inherit his mother's workshop, and to be honest, he had far larger - and some would say foolish - dreams: becoming a hero like those who had the honor of piloting one of the fabled god-machines.
It was in pursue of his dreams and thanks to his parents interests that he became a trainee in a knightly order that accepted the offspring of free men. He became a reasonably good fighter and he had a good way of dealing with people that led him to conduct his team to victory during mock combat more than once. Still the environment was competitive and it was almost unheard of for knights of free families to pilot a heavenly war machine, which brought him worries about the feasibility of his dreams.
When the draft began he was part of the able-bodied men selected, something that triggered a response that was almost equal parts fear and pride; he joined those who walked the stars and was shown how to operate miraculous mechanisms, something no one in his family ever had the honor to. Thanks to his experience in leadership and status as knight trainee he was granted command of a squad and despite all of his worries and nervousness he yearns for the opportunity to prove his worth in the battlefields that will see the clash of gods and men.
Comrade: Name: Venato "Vin" Terris
Demeanor: Lucky
Advances: None
Orders:

(Full)Background: Shorter and thinner than the guardsman he follows, Venato was a servant in the knightly keep Thale trained, and when the draft came he was part of the people hopeful for the opportunity of having their deeds remembered. He's far behind Thale in terms of skill but they knew each other before the levy and remain friends, with Venato hoping being a former knight trainee's sidekick will raise his chances of finding glory in the battlefield. What is known about him is that he's a lucky rat and manages to get the pot in nearly all games of luck he's involved in.
