The convoy is under attack, and unlike the earlier probing attacks, it doesn't seem like the guards will win this time. Two Destroyers accompagnied you on this trip, one of the currently fighting off multiple attackers, the other already reduced to a flaming wreck. Multiple smaller vessels are still fighting, but the attackers, mainly revised civilian craft, appear to be fast and overwhelming.

Your vessel is in the back of the convoy, still moderately protected, but you don't know for how long that will be the case. Pirates are demanding you surrender, by jumping to a nearby position, just outside the local law's enforcement's jurisdiction. The convoy demands to stand your ground, that help is one the way. You could probable flee as well.

Ox-Class Support Vessel "Minotauress"

The Ox class vessel is an orbital vessel, designed to spend it's 100 year lifetime in space without ever landing on a planet. One can clearly see that it was fabricated using modular components, a measure which both lowered cost and increased the versatility of the design. From the front to the back, there's a communication array, crew quarters, cargo (separated in 4 parts which surround the FTL drive), the fabrication modules, the fusion reactor, with it's massive radiators, and then the sublightspeed engine.

You have a few guns yes. In a closed locket onboard the ship. For the rest, your vessel is unarmed.

That would work, assuming it stands still for a few hours.

Depends on the type of weapon. Overriding the reactor safeguards will take you about 1 minute, and the resulting explosioncan be powerfull enough to destroy the ship and most things near it.

I wasn't really planning for ypu to fight this merely set up an introduction and allow you an early choice : Pirate Capture, Fleeing, wait for reinforcements. I do now realize that I gave you entirely too little information to make that choice.

We'll willingly let 'em board, then ambush 'em with our guns! If they aren't wearing space suits/carrying masks we might also catch them off guard by locking them into whatever compartment they come into first and then changing the breathing mix.

I meant weapons were not going to happen. While you can technically build a weapon this fast, you have no blueprints for it.

I thou ghost t you ment that the only thing we would b e able to turn into a weapon fast enough was our ship. Which I would be all for.
