That... Wouldn't be a revision I think?

Mmmmh, if you feel like revising the uniform, making it some kind of camouflage color would help. So would a steel helmet. Those twos are probably better than the tac vest.

I have an idea to run past the board.
Lr-2 sniper rifle:
This sniper rifle will have a long, rifled (Hoping we have rifleing) barrel with a scope. It will have a wooden stock and could use our standard 7.26 mm ammo. It shall be bolt action. Probably. It will be focused on accuracy and range. With the name of our research facility on the side of the scope. It shall bring glory to our sniper

We have rifleing. The mosin is rifled. Infact, that suggestion sounds like a modified mosin.

Yes, rifling you may take for granted.

Revise the Nosin so it can only have one bullet at a time, decreasing its complexity. The simple act of getting our troops a breech-loading gun would improve their rate-of-fire considerably, plus the Nosin comes with detachable bayonets so dirty Moskurg's cavalry charges won't be as effective.

Glory to Arstotzka.

We can simply update our Nozin to be less complex. No reason to degenerate our tech.

Improving the Nosin in that way would automatically update the technology in your list, for the Nosing and for future use.

(True, though I wonder if we get a bonus or something if we do degenerate our tech.)

We'd still have the old rifle, you know. We're just making a new version that our general infantry can use. Our officers will continue using the old one and our infantry will use the new ones.

It looks like the most popular revision is to make a single-shot Nosin. This simply involves omitting the magazine, which calls for some fiddly manufacturing. For the record, designing a breech-loading version of the AS-1891 would constitute a new weapon entirely.

Nosin Single: A bolt-action 7.62mm rifle with no clip, based on the Russian Mosin-Nagant. It has comparable performance to the Nosin-Magant, except that a new round must be inserted to the chamber every time the weapon is fired. This is simple enough that it can be distributed to all of your troops.

I'm going to assume this obsoletes the AS-1891, so that all troops will cease using the 1891 and switch to the Nosin Single instead. In cases where it's not completely obvious later, I'd like you to state in the revision phase when you'd like a weapon to cease production.

This moves us to the 1910 production phase- for now, you can discuss future projects while you wait for Moskurg to finish their new weapons.

So, it currently looks like we have the twin suggestions of a sniper rifle separate from the Mosin-Nagant and an armored vest... Which considering that the enemy uses large caliber weapons (although velocity is not mentioned) probably wont be much of a use...

Hey, Sensei. Can we take a page out of the Russians book and mount one of our machine guns on a horse-drawn sled/cart? And if so, would that count as a proper design, or a revision?
