Deviously, you hatch a plot to set the town ablaze. But you need supplies! With the most amazing luck, you happen upon a store that has a large stock of tinderboxes, kindling, and flint. Through years of experience in sneaking and stealing, you take a tinderbox and the assorted tools to aid in your arson. There is also a butchery nearby, and a large vat of tallow! You put a good amount in a cloth-sack, waiting a few minutes for the sun to settle for good.
You spread the slimy tallow on the first wooden store; ironically, the store you stole the tinderboxes from. You remain unseen, for many of the workers are off to the tavern to enjoy an evening's respite. You light the first spark, and the building is set ablaze. Smiling menacingly, you dash to your next target, your footsteps drowned out by the yells and screams in the night.
The second attempt goes off without a hitch as well. Most people are too busy trying to put out the fire as you start the second one. The smell of anguish is complimented by the hazy smoke. Master will be pleased. Hopefully, he gets the message to attack. The remaining of your wooden targets is set ablaze, when you are grabbed by the arms and hauled off into a dark alley....
Kaviik: As soon as dusk fell, you mobilized your unliving army and made straight for Red Crossing. You saw what looked like mere embers in the distance, realizing that they were infernos, undoubtedly set by Red. As you breach the gates, you find the guards foolishly left their posts to help extinguish the fires.
As they catch sight of you, they stand there foolishly, gaping at you. An eternity passes as they finally realize their doom. The unliving run, unlike the sluggish undead, after their prey, causing even more terror and mayhem! Buckets of water are dropped to the ground, all thoughts of putting out the fire extinguished, those trapped inside the buildings left to burn.
Laughing, you rise to the air to survey the area. Red is nowhere to be seen... until you spot her aura, and three unrecognizable auras around her. Suddenly, your concentration is broken as three bolts pierce your chest and neck. You fall to the ground, face contorted with annoyance. Ripping the bolts out, you see a huge man entombed in black-iron armor, holding a massive crossbow. He stands at least three heads taller than any man you've seen, even General Bokor.
"Kaviik Nalrathai," he says, voice echoing in his helm, "I have come to destroy you."
You now control Fallen! Amidst the chaos and fire, you did not see the giant of a man striding to the vile necromancer. He sent three massive bolts through the sorcerer's chest. That's all you saw, and all you cared to see; as soon as his magic grip on you stopped, you bolted for it. Now, you keep running, dodging panicking people and growling monsters.
Halting by a dark alleyway, you catch your breath, panting heavily. You hear muffled voices. Peeking over the corner, you see three figures in the same, black armor that giant was wearing. You recognize it now... mercenaries! The same group who kidnapped your mother from the forests. And between them, a frightened young girl in a red cloak.
Serves her right.... After all she did to me. After what she did to your mother. Your hand curls into a fist. But she saved you from your 'father' and your 'brother'. He bought your mother during a slave market. He had a thing for elves. But she's evil and twisted and cruel.
Would it be justice? To leave her to these infamous slavers? Serves her right. But she'd end up exactly like your mother, and have a child just like you.... Will you help her, or leave her to her well-deserved fate?
