Did you eat babies?
It can't be that because we just did that and no one cared.

Go to Red Crossing. Elves are holy in many fictional stories, plus they also tend to be good archers. Some wilderness settlement that has little contact with the outside world is the perfect target.

You plot your course for the wilderness settlement of Red Crossing to the northeast. Seems you're off to find your old apprentice first. You rally your army of unliving (a term you coined to distinguish them from the more hastily-raised undead) and march off to Red Crossing. Red Killer and the boy fall in at your side; she - happily singing, he - whimpering, but with a defiant look in his eyes.

Now that you've got a closer look at him, you notice pointy ears hidden beneath a tumble of jet-black hair. Elven descent, but probably tracing from his grandparents or great-grandparents. His ears, though pointed at the end, are not as long and overt as a true elf's. His eyes, though brilliant emerald, do not have the same far-gazing look that elves do.

"What is your name?" you demand in a soft whisper.

You looks at you with revulsion and anger. His mouth remains shut. Red kicks him in the shin, hard. "Fallen. My full name is Fallentyr."

That confirms his elven origins. Fallen sulks as the march continues. Your army of sixty unliving trod through empty farmland and stretches of near-wilderness. Apart from a few hungry wolves, not much stands to hamper your journey. The wolf meat is butchered by Fallen, who spent much of his spare time with his huntress aunt. They serve to feed the two living among the sixty-one unliving.

After four days of marching, you happen upon Red Crossing; a town situated on the precipice of a cliff, and a great, long bridge that connects it to the other side of the canyon. You stand about five miles from the town walls. Extending you mind, you sense the aura of five hundred souls there, not to mention the animals that might work there. The construction of the bridge can be heard even from here. The bridge, though already reaching the other end, is still unfinished and possibly unsafe.

It's high noon. Your unliving are more resistant to the sun than your undead, and as such aren't hampered by this news. However, they're much more visible. Aside from the town patrol, you can't seem to find a significant force that can match your army, as long as most of the villagers there do not fight back. At least for now.

How do you want to pass through Red Crossing? Besiege it or sneak through?

He'd not only run away, but also alert everyone to the band of undead waiting near the town.

Just blow everything up. We get more corpses and souls for reanimation. Our undead army will hardly be able to sneak around the town, anyway.

Have RK cut out Fallen's voice box. After that, give him to Red to torture to death. Afterwards, raise Fallen from the dead. The kid's going to be trouble later on and it's best to just kill the flower before it buds...or whatever the saying is. The voice box thing is so he doesn't alert the town from his screams. (Also, And I Must Scream could play into here, what with his desperation to warn the townspeople or just simply express his pain. Such despair would certainly be delicious.)

At night, send Red to kill the guards and whatever lookouts are posted. When that's done, send in the army. We don't need scouts and they won't be of much use. Our unliving aren't exactly tactical in their approach to massacre.

EDIT: Red will once again procure some children for us. We got unlucky once. Eventually we'll come across the perfect child who we can drive into total despair.

((Sorry Andres, ninja'd. I already wrote the update :( ))

"Red, scout the town. See what you can find." With manic glee, she strolls up to the gates unnoticed.

You now control Red Killer! Walking up to the walls, you fall in with a returning wagon of frontiersmen, posing as a waif. You elicit no discriminating looks from the guardsmen, who let the wagon in. You successfully breach the town, and break off from the wagon. You find yourself in the middle of what looks like town square, though it's far different than Redridge. The stores are aimed for frontiersmen instead of  townsfolk who've properly settled.

In the hustle and bustle of construction, they don't notice you at all. Some even throw money at your feet. You don't know whether to feel insulted or lucky, but you have no need of petty change; master has a hoard of riches. Ignoring the copper at your feet, you press on.

From what you can see, the guards here are more alert and fit than the ones in Redridge (who only recently picked up their pace when you started killing); clearly, they're trained to fend off wild animals, elf raiders or even orcs. How they'd fare against the unliving, you wouldn't know. Apart from the occasional patrol, most guards are situated at either the walls or the bridge. The walls, though you breached it easily with stealth, will hold against the unliving; an iron portcullis awaits to be closed, and the fifteen-feet high stone walls, surrounding the town from all sides apart from the cliff's edge, will prove a challenge.

You consider a sewer system, but it seems this frontier town doesn't have one well developed, as far as you can see. Almost all buildings here are wooden; no castle or keep is visible. All the stone and metal seem to be used for the bridge. There are no permanent houses; mostly tents and wagons.

It is still noon, and your master wishes to attack by nightfall. How do you spend the rest of your remaining time?

Wooden buildings, eh? Good. When night comes, start a fire. Aside from providing chaos, the watchmen will have to leave the portcullis and walls to help put it out. That'll give us an opportunity to sabotage the portcullis and keep it open, but it also means that some watchmen won't have weapons since they'll be carrying buckets.

When the fire starts raging, go to the portcullis, kill anyone who's still there, and sabotage it so it stays open.

Deviously, you hatch a plot to set the town ablaze. But you need supplies! With the most amazing luck, you happen upon a store that has a large stock of tinderboxes, kindling, and flint. Through years of experience in sneaking and stealing, you take a tinderbox and the assorted tools to aid in your arson. There is also a butchery nearby, and a large vat of tallow! You put a good amount in a cloth-sack, waiting a few minutes for the sun to settle for good.

You spread the slimy tallow on the first wooden store; ironically, the store you stole the tinderboxes from. You remain unseen, for many of the workers are off to the tavern to enjoy an evening's respite. You light the first spark, and the building is set ablaze. Smiling menacingly, you dash to your next target, your footsteps drowned out by the yells and screams in the night.

The second attempt goes off without a hitch as well. Most people are too busy trying to put out the fire as you start the second one. The smell of anguish is complimented by the hazy smoke. Master will be pleased. Hopefully, he gets the message to attack. The remaining of your wooden targets is set ablaze, when you are grabbed by the arms and hauled off into a dark alley....

Kaviik: As soon as dusk fell, you mobilized your unliving army and made straight for Red Crossing. You saw what looked like mere embers in the distance, realizing that they were infernos, undoubtedly set by Red. As you breach the gates, you find the guards foolishly left their posts to help extinguish the fires.

As they catch sight of you, they stand there foolishly, gaping at you. An eternity passes as they finally realize their doom. The unliving run, unlike the sluggish undead, after their prey, causing even more terror and mayhem! Buckets of water are dropped to the ground, all thoughts of putting out the fire extinguished, those trapped inside the buildings left to burn.

Laughing, you rise to the air to survey the area. Red is nowhere to be seen... until you spot her aura, and three unrecognizable auras around her. Suddenly, your concentration is broken as three bolts pierce your chest and neck. You fall to the ground, face contorted with annoyance. Ripping the bolts out, you see a huge man entombed in black-iron armor, holding a massive crossbow. He stands at least three heads taller than any man you've seen, even General Bokor.

"Kaviik Nalrathai," he says, voice echoing in his helm, "I have come to destroy you."

You now control Fallen! Amidst the chaos and fire, you did not see the giant of a man striding to the vile necromancer. He sent three massive bolts through the sorcerer's chest. That's all you saw, and all you cared to see; as soon as his magic grip on you stopped, you bolted for it. Now, you keep running, dodging panicking people and growling monsters.

Halting by a dark alleyway, you catch your breath, panting heavily. You hear muffled voices. Peeking over the corner, you see three figures in the same, black armor that giant was wearing. You recognize it now... mercenaries! The same group who kidnapped your mother from the forests. And between them, a frightened young girl in a red cloak.

Serves her right.... After all she did to me. After what she did to your mother. Your hand curls into a fist. But she saved you from your 'father' and your 'brother'. He bought your mother during a slave market. He had a thing for elves. But she's evil and twisted and cruel.

Would it be justice? To leave her to these infamous slavers? Serves her right. But she'd end up exactly like your mother, and have a child just like you.... Will you help her, or leave her to her well-deserved fate?

Maybe... Maybe when your mother was kidnapped, there was someone who was just like you, who had the opportunity to save her, just like you have. But, if there was, they didn't take it. They just left your mother to be taken away by the bad men.

Do... do you want that to happen again? No. No you don't. Maybe she doesn't deserve it. But if you leave here all you prove is that you're just as bad as the men taking her away... who took your mother away. Save her. And then run away.

'She's twisted and  evil but maybe she can be of use now that her master is dead. I'll do something to break their grip and stab one of them as we oth bolt out of here.'

Help Red and escape with her back to our people in the woods. AKA the Elves.
