I'm all right, the charger started to smell funny and started to spark so I just threw it outside for a few minutes till it cooled off. Tested it to see it it still worked, but it up and died. Laptop battery died a few hours after that however. Send help, no idea how long I'll survive without DF.

Amusingly, batteries seem cheaper than new chargers as of the last time I checked. Which is amusing, since the batteries are the ones you can make grenades out of.

It's usually a good idea to have the charger somewhere with decent airflow.
That said the laptop I have now has a charger which gets hotter than the processor.

It's not the same brand as the laptop but it's rated to the same amperage so I'm stumped.
Shitty laptop anyway, but a charger can handle 100 degrees better than a processor. Though I am thinking of cracking the box open and adding a weighty heat sink and fan.

Hey Bob, would you kindly put me in the admin status of tgc?  Was going to put them there as it seemed to be the group for new players, but I wasn't given high enough status to invite people to join the group.  As such, put the person in TGPub, as it was my only low-level option.
