Foragers forage. Breeders, breed 50 new ants. Ants dig one burrow south at level 2.

Player 12 action:
40 Foragers forage 1 tile North of Colony (Queen's Nest)
25 Diggers dig a burrow 2 tiles South of Colony at level 1
30 Breeders all reproduce
20 Basic Ants Evolve to Foragers
5 Scouts move another 7 squares south from current position


By my calculations, I should get at least (40 x 3 x 1.75 = 210) food this turn, so I won't starve any ants from the -20 food evolve penalty and +50 Upkeep increase, right?

I don't think ether of those actions are actually a thing that you can do.

I'm pretty sure ants just drop off their food automatically. (Although it raises a big question of how you have so much more food then you can possibly store) and queens can only breed basic ants, and they do that via you telling a group of ants to breed with the queen.

Also well I'm at it, according to the turn you only have 50 normal ants, so you can only breed 25 new ants. Each ant produces .5 new ants with a breeding action. Of course, that's just what the turn says, it could be wrong, I've not been paying attention to other peoples turns for the most part, so just ignore all this if your normals should be breeders.

Oh. I forgot the breeder limit. I thought it was one for one, which is why I tried at one point to have my breeders breed 100 - thinking they bred 2 for 1.

GM, I am updating my action to reflect this.

Wait so if I pick up food a great distance from my nest, it teliports to storage? GM please clarify.

These turns simulate a month, each different action simulates what your ants focus that month.  If you choose to forage your ants go to a tile within your ant hill's vision gather food and bring it back.  Moving simulates combing each tile you move through, breeding is ants focus on increasing the population, and digging simulates your ants expanding their colony and evolving is breeding for a specific strain, without increasing the population.

Foragers forage. Breeders dig another burrow. Evolve 25 of the basic ants to be more foragers, and 25 to be diggers.

The burrow can be to the east, just below the surface.

Foragers forage. Breeders breed, ants dig 2 burrows, one north of main trunk at level 3, one south of main trunk at level 3. (The new burrows should be directly below the previously dug ones).
