Tiruin tensed up as she described her next plan.

"I'll follow a classical rule in my plan; always attack when the opportunity is given (as a guide to the plan). So!"

She gestured at Twinwolf.

"I-um. I don't see any danger for anyone else in this room--it also lacks doorways. So...you could get boosted up by Icy back there, and the rest of you can explore this place. I'm bad with places currently--I wish there was a map someone can sketch and update."

"Yeah, I've kept my distance for just that reason."

As you push the statue, it suddenly charges at the Sauron-lookalike with its spear, deftly impaling it and pushing it back, until the knight stops, causing the ebony statue to move just a bit more before burning to ashes as the knight it captured the turn before did. Completely unfazed, another ebony statue, this one in cowled in a hooded cloak, moves.

Aoshi retrieves sheath of his katana and retroactively follows the cat and they person who supposedly has Arc's stuff to the doorway to chess room.

"Who is Adragis? I hear you would have something to help me sharpen my katana. Something that belongs to Arc."

Tiruin shook her hands as she hugged the wooden knight. Nostalgia hit her back a few years earlier to a tournament of this calibre that she participated in.

Just don't overthink, girl. Remember what your mentor told you. Only two.

Tiruin nodded as the figure moved of its own accord. She glanced up at the assembled audience on the ledge and turned back to face the board (and Twinwolf)--only she could see the apprehension drawing on her face.

Why won't they explore the place. Is this taking all their time? Oh...I'm doubting again. I just hope I won- no I...I won't mess up. I have the initiative.
