MILITARY, STOP HAVING BABIES! YOU HAVE TOO MANY BABIES! The militia commander just popped out another, she didn't even wake up for this one.

Hm. Maybe dorfs are marsupial.

WHAT.
So? What's special? It's just a llama wool loin cloth. It's not even menacing with spikes of ANYTHING. Boriiing.

Hammerlord threw a tantrum and went to talk with the mayor. Then he broke the mayor's middle spine bone.
Hammerlord: THIS IS OUTRAGEOUS! All the beds are occupied and I have to sleep on the floor!

Mayor: Now, now, I'll see if I can get that fixed.

Hammerlord: RAGARHGGHRA *crack*

This is actually the first dwarven loincloth that DIDN'T menace with spikes.  It was so incredibly comfortable compared to the normal spiky loincloths that the dwarves believe that it is truly an artifact worthy specimen.

So I just found out that the bug of naked dwarves is still around, and thus I've just created a new uniform called "clothes", and assigned most of my nobles to it.

The only other thing that's particularly interesting right now is that my chief medical dwarf gets all her skill training due to giant bird attacks. I have no crossbow dwarves for various mediocre reasons, thus gaint birds (and bird-people) occasionally dive bomb the training ground. They're usually slaughtered, but occasionally they injure my normal dwarven citizens. Unfortunately, right now, my medical dwarf says she's part of a union or something, and is taking her alloted break. Break from what!? I don't know, but they're taking it anyways. Two dwarves died.

No! No! I will not massacre my children. Instead, I'll make them corpulent on crappy mass-produced quarry bush biscuits and questionably grown mushroom alcohol, and then send them into the military when they turn 12...

I just had a large delivery of goblinite from the nearby dark fortress.

Did you know that if dwarves and goblins siege you at the same time that the groups may fight each other?

The creation of the noble and residential districts for the "volcano cliff-side" supported fortress is 99% completed.

Soon the great landscaping will begin, once the makeshift "fortress campsite" is deconstructed and cleaned up.  Sadly, the new baron has a fettish for bolts. As soon as one mandate ends, another instantly pops up.

Once the landscaping process has finished, proper tower construction can begin!

And where finally besieged. By goblin bowmen, nonetheless. Draw up the battleplans, dwarves!
EDIT:
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
Well, that didn't last long. Goblins pelted our guard dogs with arrows and in return got pelted from above with bolts. Following that onslaught, they quickly jumped the shark and headed home. Those that didn't end up in cages or ran away got pelted some more and finished by another squad.

All in all, a quick victory with our only causalties being four guard dogs.

Ah, found a recipe for not having a migrant wave murdered by a handful of kobolds: dwarven bumrush. Those little bones snap quickly.

Awesome! I just discovered candy while digging out the storage area for my magmaworks! Too bad I have zero metalworkers atm. (If you ask WHY I'm digging out my metalworks NOW then, I'd say so I don't have to do it later)

No. I suppose there are similarities, but I'm fairly certain angry birds doesn't let me charge into a battalion of knights with a car made of circular saws.

Frankly, I'd LOVE to have my migrant waves killed off. Population control really isn't working right now.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)
Had a second siege during the same year. A bit more bloodied than the last one as some dwarves got lef outside and military disobeying orders when trying to get said dwarves inside the fort, resulting in an all-out sally.
Still waiting for a full casualty list as well as list of injuries.
EDIT: From what I can tell, there are about 6 dead, 7 injured (some already infected).

The dead walk in Tombsbrother! I'm under siege from 2 necromancers and a metric buttfuckton of undead right now...and my military is not nearly ready! I only have 2 swordsdwarves who don't even have all their equipment(I'm smelting iron right now to rectify this). So right now Tombsbrother is CLOSED for business thankyouverymuch

I'm playing on my elf-war human-war world in a sinister jungle. No ambushes so far, but I've had a few kobold thieves.

There were a few undead weasels harassing us in the beginning. Now they reside in walled-up alcoves in the main corridor (I didn't have time to make an atom-smasher).

One of my miners fell to his death while channeling out a pit, and one of the zombie weasels got credited with the kill due to scratching him earlier.

The big second year migrant wave just showed up with a ton of animals. I could throw them down the pit of death and let them live at the bottom, or I could butcher them. I'm not sure if any Fun will ensue from that, but I could do with a few more quivers.

Hmm... decisions decisions.

Alright, I've gathered a squad of 4 competent or better swordsdwarves(gotta love military immigrants!), and one peasant recruit to round it out. I'm saving and unlocking the front gate. COME MY BROTHERS! LET US SHOW THEM THE GLORY OF TOMBSBROTHER!

Edit: UMMMMMMM, that worked...for about 5 seconds. New plan: Savescum and organize a marksdorf squad
