He catches the gadget and puts it in his jacket pocket. "Yes, yes, by all means, let's get moving. I was just waiting for that. I doubt they're trying to kill us. Well, maybe they are now. For those who were still coming out of stasis, we're dealing with a bunch of punks running what can best be described as a circus. You poor fools happened to get picked up by their abduction tech. I've got a ride that can get us out of their crappy universe entirely, but it's back upstairs."

"Ha. It was a day, but yes. For that matter, I could have sworn I died- James and his lackeys are going to be very disappointed. Oh no. If I died, to that universe at least, then my crystal... dangit. Now I can't contact my uncle's clan... and what's worse, he's probably going to go there to avenge my 'death'. Blast it all. I hope he survives... wait, you're a talking bear."

"Ye only just noticed?" The bear adjusts his overalls, snorting.
"Then again, ye supposedly died, so I suppose it's excusable, not noticing I'm a bear. I suppose it can't be helped.

I apologise for the stench, by the way. I think I must've fallen asleep in a brewer's dump or something."

"So, I'm guessing ye came from some agley place? Plenty of sharp swords and spears to stab yerself with?"

The stranger pulls a small container out of his duffel bag, a tube with a twist-off cap, and hands it to Sheotl as they set off down the hall. "Apply that to the wound."

"So, I'm guessing ye came from some agley place? Plenty of sharp swords and spears to stab yerself with?"

"Something like that, but we didn't really bother with weaponry while fighting. We were mages, after all. I suppose fighting the three most powerful mages in the deathmatch, and then some, is always a bad idea. I hope None survives. So no, no spears and swords, but plenty of death."

"Oh, joy. So instead of being stabbed to death, ye get blown up and set aflame. Reassuring."

"Not those kinds of mages... let's see. I was up against an aether mage, a healer, a force mage, a mind control mage, and a temperature mage. Plus a "warp" mage, whatever that is- though I'm not sure if he wanted me dead. Surprisingly, it wasn't magic that killed me- I was just killed by the healer's troll minion. Please don't ask why I had such bad luck."

"All this talk of death is not exactly what I'd want to hear in a place like this, or ever." The strongman glares at the previously killed man. "Mister bear, I had not caught your name." He offers a hand for a shake only a tad bit reluctantly.
